Betting on the Boston Bruins

As one of the Original Six NHL franchises, the Boston Bruins have amassed a large fan base and perhaps an equally large group of interested bettors.

Boston Bruins Franchise History

The Bruins have built up quite the resume dating all the way back to their first Stanley Cup in 1929. With more than 70 playoff appearances in their back pocket, Boston is one of the NHL’s most successful franchises.

There’s also been no shortage of NHL legends to play in Boston during the Bruins’ tenure. Some of the sport’s biggest names (literally) have donned a Bruins uniform.

For starters, the tallest player in NHL history, Zdeno Chara, suited up for the Bruins for over a decade and won the James Norris trophy in 2009. Other Bruins stars include Ray Borque, Bobby Orr, and Patrice Bergeron.

On top of the long list of stars who have put on the Bruins’ black and gold, there is a pile of six Stanly Cup trophies. Many of them, however, were won prior to some of the NHL’s expansions.

The Bruins’ most recent contribution to Boston’s championship trophy case was in 2011, when they took down the Vancouver Canucks 4-3.
