BetMGM: Broncos at Raiders: $1,000 Risk Free

By all preseason accounts, the AFC West looked like the premier division in the NFL. With 4 loaded rosters (Chiefs, Chargers, Raiders, Broncos), superstar quarterbacks, and some high projected win totals, all NFL fans were excited to see how it would play out.  The Chiefs have looked great this year, already holding a division win over the Chargers.

While Denver has looked uninspiring in HC Nathaniel Hackett’s first season, they sit tied with the Chiefs at 2-1.  Las Vegas is off to a disappointing 0-3 start and needs to figure it out ASAP if they want to accomplish any of their preseason goals.  Luckily, there’s no place like home and a big division showdown awaits on Sunday as the Broncos travel to Allegiant Stadium for a 4:25 pm (eastern) kickoff.

Denver has been a favorite topic of football fans so far this year; Russell Wilson’s (in)effectiveness, Coach Hackett’s decision-making, the grind-it-out loss in Seattle in Week 1, a ridiculous 11-10 win over the 49ers (how was that not Scorigami??)... and they sit comfortably at 2-1 atop the division.  Will Wilson break out and look like his old self on the road against Vegas? Or will they need to win another slugfest? Can’t wait to find out.

RB Javonte Williams will likely get the start in a two-headed backfield also featuring veteran RB Melvin Gordon III.  Both have a similar number of carries, but Williams is running for almost a full yard more per carry.  His rushing props might be something to keep an eye on as gameday approaches. On the other side of the ball, the Broncos are giving up a respectable 5.1 yards per attempt, have recorded 9 sacks, and appear to have an average run defense (4.4 YPC against).

Las Vegas had high expectations coming into the year but have sputtered to a disappointing 0-3 start.  QB Derek Carr has been inconsistent, throwing for 6 TDs and 4 interceptions while completing 60% of his passes.  The wild ending against the Cardinals (29-23 OT loss) will be looked upon with regret by Raiders fans, and a pair of one-score losses won’t calm any nerves.  You are what your record says you are, and for Vegas, that’s unfortunate.

It will be nice to come back home and we should expect WR Davante Adams to be targeted early and often.  He is an elite receiver that figures to find the end zone again (3 TDs already this season). The defense has problems, mainly the 7.5 yards per attempt that opposing QBs are picking up through the air.  Vegas does a good job getting to the quarterback (8 sacks on the year) but will need to be focused enough to bring Wilson down.

Other BetMGM Promotions

In addition to the welcome offer, BetMGM has two of the most profitable promotions in the sports betting world. The first is their “One Game Parlay Insurance” promo. Opt-in, bet $25 on a 4-leg NFL One Game Parlay, and get a free bet back if one leg loses! I like to pair a few “safe” legs with an Anytime Touchdown Scorer bet to increase the odds.

Another of my favorite promotions is the "First Touchdown Insurance".  Just opt-in, bet up to $25 on any player to score the first TD, and get a free bet back if it loses! It's a fun, low-risk way to spice up the first few drives.  Pick a star player like LV WR Davante Adams or more of a longshot like QB Russell Wilson to rush for the first TD. Great promo!

If the Raiders can not only get to the quarterback but wrap him up for a couple of sacks, the Raiders being favored in this game makes a lot of sense.  With their backs against the wall in their home stadium, look for their aggressive defense to frustrate first-year coach Nathaniel Hackett and create some turnovers.  Remember to use BetMGM code VIBONUS for a $1,000 risk-free bet and take advantage of their other promos as well! Please bet responsibly.
