Betway Expands Its NBA Presence With Milwaukee Bucks Partnership

US Sportsbooks · Bonus Codes · Betting News · Special Update

The Betway Group is a global gaming operator that is part of Super Group. Launched in 2006, Betway Sportsbook represents the company’s business interests in the global regulated sports betting industry.

As part of Betway’s initial expansion plans into the legal US sports betting industry, it formed strategic partnerships with multiple NBA teams. That list includes the Cleveland Cavaliers, Chicago Bulls, Golden State Warriors, Brooklyn Nets, Los Angeles Clippers, Philadelphia 76ers and the Dallas Mavericks.

Interestingly enough, sports betting remains illegal in a few of these team’s home state such as California and Texas. The general idea was to gain widespread exposure among all NBA fans and bettors alike.

As a natural extension of this ongoing strategy, Betway has now added the reigning NBA Champion Milwaukee Bucks to the list. The new agreement makes Betway the Official Gaming Partner of the team.

Betway will have brand exposure inside of Fiserv Forum as the home arena of the Bucks. There will also be digital branding in conjunction with team properties. This includes the “Betway Game Rewind” as part of Milwaukee’s social media efforts.

Content for this particular digital media property will focus on the team’s previous game and upcoming opponent.

Matt Pazaras is the team’s Chief Business Development & Strategy Officer. As part of an official media release, he stated:

“We’re thrilled to partner with Betway and bring their world-class brand to Bucks fans. Betway has been a fantastic partner to work with from the start and we look forward to growing our relationship with one of the premier online betting and gaming brands in the world.”

As CEO of Betway, Anthony Werkman added the following comments on the partnership:

“Adding to our already impressive portfolio in the NBA, we’re very happy to welcome the Milwaukee Bucks to our family of partners. The Bucks are having a great season in the NBA and we’re looking forward to sharing the thrill of their successes together.”

Overall, Betway has formed partnerships with more than 60 sports leagues and individual teams on a global basis. As part of a deal with the NHL, Betway was granted access to league-controlled media assets. This covers digital properties, social media venues and ongoing marketing campaigns.

Betway’s newly formed partnership with the Bucks follows closely on the heels of recent deals with both the Miami Heat and the Minnesota Timberwolves. The one thing all three of these teams have in common is home states with limited or no legal sports betting.

Legal sports betting in Wisconsin is limited to retail sportsbooks in tribal gaming casinos. Sports betting in Florida is currently on hold and Minnesota continues to work through the legislative process.

As a global sports betting entity backed by a huge gaming corporation, Betway understands the value of building recognition for its brand. Next to the NFL, the NBA is one of the most popular sports betting leagues in the legal US market.
