2025 WNBA MVP Odds: Collier Favored, Injured Clark Fading Fast

WNBA MVP odds are heating up, with the regular season now through the All-Star break. And it's becoming more clear which player oddsmakers believe has the goods.

In late May, Minnesota Lynx forward Napheesa Collier overtook Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark as the favorite. Since then, with Clark battling multiple injuries, Collier has become a far stronger favorite in odds to win the WNBA MVP.

UPDATE TUESDAY, JULY 22: When WNBA MVP odds first went on the board at BetMGM, Napheesa Collier was the +650 fourth choice. Reigning MVP A'ja Wilson of the Las Vegas Aces was the +200 favorite, followed by Caitlin Clark at +250, then the New York Liberty's Breanna Stewart at +600.

By the time the regular season began, Wilson and Clark swapped places, with Clark the +195 favorite and Wilson still +200. But by May 27, Collier had surged to the -175 chalk, and she stretched out to -285 in mid-June.

Now, with the season steaming toward August, Collier is a hefty -600 favorite. Clark, who a month ago was the +200 second choice, is now all the way out to +8000, fifth on the board. Clark has missed 10 games this season.

However, the Fever superstar continues to dominate WNBA MVP betting. Clark is taking 48% of bets and 53% of money, four times more tickets and almost three times more money than Collier, who's No. 2 in both categories.

That's down from mid-June, when Clark was taking 54% of tickets/60% of money. But she's still the big liability in the market.

"Bettors continue to back Caitlin Clark to win MVP. But Clark's injuries have caused her odds to lengthen. Napheesa Collier winning the award would be a good outcome for the sportsbook," BetMGM trader Hannah Luther said.

Collier is averaging a league-leading 23.2 points for Minnesota, which tops the WNBA with a 20-4 record. On the flip side, Indiana is just 12-11, with Clark averaging 16.5 points and 8.5 assists, but missing a bundle of games.

Clark's absence has opened the door for others. Phoenix Mercury standout Alyssa Thomas is now the +600 second choice in WNBA, making a huge surge in the past month. In mid-June, Thomas was +9000, but Phoenix's 9-3 run over the past few weeks lifted her status.

Breanna Stewart has gone from +4000 to the +2200 third choice, as she tries to lead the New York Liberty to a repeat WNBA championship. Las Vegas Aces star A'ja Wilson, the reigning MVP, was out to +6600 a month ago and is now the +4000 fourth choice.
