The San Diego Padres came into this season with the goal of winning the National League West, but more importantly of winning their first World Series title. The Giants are having a disappointing season in their own right after winning 107 games last season in surprising fashion. They also sold off any would be post season aspirations for a playoff push they got rid of Ruf. The Giants are just 61-65 on the season and 27 games out of first place, behind the Padres just 7.5 games.

He allowed both runs spanning six innings.

The Padres have seen the total go under in 10 of their last 14 games. The Giants have also been a part of an under trend, especially at home. They have seen the total go under in four of the last five home games.

While the under has trended more recently, the last 28 meetings between these clubs have been trending more towards the over. The over is 19-9 in those last 28 matchups.
