NASCAR Cup Series Championship Picks, Predictions, Odds
A champion will be crowned on Sunday at Phoenix Raceway as the 36th race of the season takes place. It is aptly named the NASCAR Cup Series Championship and it comes down to four drivers fighting for the title.
Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, William Byron, and Ryan Blaney have made it to the finish line as far as the Championship 4. Basically, the driver who finishes the highest out of this group will be the champion, even if they don't win the race.
Larson is the only driver from this quartet to win a NASCAR title, which came back in 2021. The only driver to make the Championship 4 each of the last two years is Bell, who placed third in last year's title, which was won by Joey Logano.
CUP SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP TOP-5 FINISH PREDICTION
Top-5 Finish Prediction:
1) #12 Ryan Blaney (4/1)
2) #5 Kyle Larson (+260)
3) #22 Joey Logano (25/1)
4) #14 Chase Briscoe (25/1)
5) #24 William Byron (7/2)
CUP SERIES CHAMPIONSHIP PICKS & PREDICTIONS
We'll take a look at the four drivers going for the title and what they have done in Phoenix.
Larson has great numbers at pretty much every track, but he also thrives in Arizona. The driver of the #5 Chevrolet last won in Phoenix in 2021, while placing 6th or better six of the last nine races at this track.
Bell hasn't been great in Phoenix in his short career as he failed to place in the Top 5 in seven opportunities. In the March race at Phoenix, Bell finished 6th, but he has never a led a single lap at this track.
Byron captured the checkered flag in March at the United Rentals Work United 500 in Phoenix, marking his first Top 5 finish here in 11 tries. In two of the last three races at Phoenix, Byron has won the first stage, so keep an eye out for that on Sunday.
Maybe Blaney breaks through for the title as he owns back-to-back 2nd place finishes at Phoenix and four consecutive Top 4 finishes at this track since 2021. From a stage perspective, Blaney won the second stage in two of the last three at Phoenix.
