LATEST UPDATE: LSU didn't give Coastal Carolina the opportunity to force three games in the best-of-3 2025 CWS final. The Tigers won a defensive battle in Game 1, prevailing 1-0. Then in Game 2, the Tigers notched a 5-3 win, clinching their second title in three years.
So it's no surprise now to see LSU (11-1) as the +550 favorite in BetMGM's College World Series futures odds, as of March 1. In fact, the Tigers are one of just two teams shorter than 10/1, with UCLA (9-2) the +950 second choice.
Both teams have gained ground early on this season. LSU opened as the +700 favorite and actually got as short as +500 on Feb. 20, before nudging to +550.
UCLA opened as the +1400 third choice, behind +1000 Georgia. But the Bruins have since moved to No. 2 in CWS futures, while sitting No. 1 ahead of LSU in college baseball rankings.
