LATEST UPDATE: With 40 minutes until game time, UConn is laying 2.5 points in The SuperBook's Big Ten Tournament final odds. That matches Friday night's opener, and it's down from this morning's high point of -3.5.

"After St. John's performance in its last game vs. UConn, surprisingly there's not much action on either side," SuperBook risk manager Fred Crespi said, alluding to 72-40 UConn rout of St. John's on Feb. 25.

"The decision is minimal, as tickets are 50/50, with no liability on the total, as well."

The total is at 139.5, sitting there the past few hours, after opening at 140.5 and having a cup of coffee at 139 this morning.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: St. John's played up to its No. 1 seed in reaching the Big East championship game. The Red Storm (27-6 SU/17-16 ATS) dispatched No. 4 seed Seton Hall 78-68 as 8.5-point favorites in Friday's first semifinal.

St. John's has won five in a row (4-1 ATS) and is 18-1 SU in its last 19 games. But that lone loss was to UConn. More on that below.

No. 2 seed UConn (29-4 SU/13-20 ATS) had little trouble with No. 11 seed Georgetown in the second semi. The Huskies won 67-51 as 14.5-point favorites, covering double digits for a second straight game, after a 2-6 ATS slide.

UConn then opened as a 2.5-point favorite vs. St. John's in DraftKings Sportsbook's Big East Tournament odds for Saturday's final. Check back for updates on odds and action.

These two teams met twice in the regular season, with the home team going 2-0 SU and ATS. On Feb. 6, St. John's was a 1.5-point home underdog and won 81-72. On Feb. 25, UConn smoked St. John's 72-40 as a 5.5-point home favorite.
