Grand Canyon vs Saint Mary's Prediction

A pair of strong mid-major squads wrap up the second night in Spokane with Grand Canyon and Saint Mary's hooking up.

The Gaels won their first WCC tournament since 2019 as they knocked off rival Gonzaga in the championship game. Saint Mary's is listed as a 5th seed for the 3rd straight March, as the Gaels won their first-round game the last two seasons.

The Lopes had to play only two games in the WAC tournament due to a double-bye and cruised past UT-Arlington in the title game.

This is Grand Canyon's three tournament appearance in the last four seasons, but they are still seeking their first victory after getting bounced by Gonzaga last March.

Now the Lopes get another shot at the WCC here as GCU limited opponents to 44.4% shooting on 2-point attempts, which ranked 9th in the nation.

Saint Mary's has lost only twice since December 2, but the Gaels dropped four games to teams ranked in the Top-60 by KenPom (GCU sits at 53).
