2025 MWC Tournament Odds: New Mexico Claims Top Seed

MWC Tournament odds are getting attention for the first round. But regular-season champ New Mexico gets a breather until the subsequent quarterfinals.

The top-seeded Lobos take their place on the 2025 Mountain West Conference Tournament odds board starting with Thursday's quarterfinals. The Nos. 2-5 seeds get byes, as well. The MWC Tourney opens Wednesday with three first-round games.

Wyoming/San Jose State vs. New Mexico Odds

UPDATE 7 P.M. ET TUESDAY: New Mexico won a lot of games, though it didn't do a whole lot of covering the spread. The Lobos went 25-6 SU, but just 15-15 ATS, with one game not on the odds board.

That said, Richard Pitino's squad finished with an 81-67 victory as a 12.5-point home favorite vs. UNLV on Friday.

The Lobos went 15-1 SU from Dec. 14-Feb. 16, with 13 of those wins in Mountain West play. New Mexico is the almost certain favorite in MWC Tournament futures.

As for the MWC Tournament odds quarterfinals market, the Lobos will be solid favorites against either No. 9 seed Wyoming or No. 8 seed San Jose State. Those two teams tip off the MWC Tourney at 2 p.m. ET Wednesday.

UPDATE 7 P.M. ET TUESDAY: San Diego State (21-8 SU/12-16 ATS) won three of its last four games to win a fourth-place tiebreaker with Boise State. In Saturday's regular-season finale, the Aztecs routed Nevada 80-61 as 6.5-point home favorites.

Boise State was on a 9-1 SU/8-2 ATS tear heading into its Friday finale. The Broncos (22-9 SU/16-14 ATS) closed as 5.5-point home faves vs. Colorado State, but fell 83-73.

San Diego went 2-0 SU and ATS vs. Boise State in the regular season. Numbers aren't yet posted for this matchup in MWC Tournament quarterfinal odds.

Fresno State/Nevada vs. Colorado State Odds

On the MWC Tournament quarterfinal odds board, it'll be Utah State vs. either No. 11 seed Air Force or No. 6 seed UNLV. The Falcons and Rebels meet at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday.
