UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Top-ranked Auburn (27-4 SU/18-13 ATS) didn't finish the regular season in style, dropping its final two games. In today's finale, the Tigers closed as 7.5-point home favorites vs. Alabama, but fell 93-91 on a buzzer-beater in overtime.

That setback came after Tuesday's 83-72 loss as 3.5-point favorites at Texas A&M.

Prior to that, Auburn was on a six-game win streak as part of a 20-1 overall run dating to Dec. 4. Thanks to that stretch, Bruce Pearl's squad is the favorite in SEC Tournament futures.

Regardless of Friday's opponent, Auburn will surely be favored in SEC Tournament quarterfinal odds. If seeding holds up, the Tigers would meet either No. 8 seed Ole Miss or No. 9 seed Arkansas.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Tennessee (25-6 SU/15-15-1 ATS) had an interesting finish to the regular season, going 5-1 SU, but 1-5 ATS in its last six games. Earlier today against South Carolina, the Vols won 75-65, but fell short of cashing as 15.5-point home favorites.

How competitive is the SEC? The Vols are ranked fourth in the nation, but are also the No. 4 seed in the conference tourney. So Tennessee could face No. 5 seed Texas A&M, a solid matchup in the SEC Tournament odds quarterfinals market.

Tennessee and A&M met Feb. 22, with the Vols winning 76-69 as 2-point road underdogs.

If seedings hold to form, SEC Tournament odds for the quarterfinals could see the No. 2 seed Gators in a battle with seventh-seeded Missouri. Those two teams met Jan. 14 in a screamer in Gainesville, with the Tigers notching an 83-82 upset as 10.5-point underdogs.

Mark Sears hit a buzzer-beating running jumper to clinch the win, ending a two-game SU hiccup for 'Bama.

In SEC Tournament quarterfinal odds, it could be No. 3 seed Alabama vs. No. 6 seed Kentucky, if form holds. The Tide went 2-0 SU and ATS vs. the Wildcats in the regular season.
