Oregon vs. Iowa Predictions
Iowa, as the No. 2 seed in the West Region, has been opened as a four-point favorite to get Monday’s tournament action started. The total is set at 147 points for the slated 12:10 p.m. (ET) tip on CBS.
Oregon remains untested in tournament play with Saturday’s matchup against VCU cancelled due to health protocol issues with the Rams. While advancing onto this game is a plus, the layoff could work against the Ducks after bowing out of the Pac-12 Tournament earlier than expected.
Keeping this game closer than four points against one of the best teams left in this tournament is just too tall of a task in my book.
I do see this game going OVER the current total line. Both teams should put on a show that lights up the scoreboard.

Second Round Predictions
Handicapping Oregon vs. Iowa
Going back to Oregon’s 10-point loss to rival Oregon State as a 8.5-point favorite in the Pac-12 Tournament, I do question this team’s ability to elevate its game to its highest level against a power like the Hawkeyes. The Ducks are going to need just about every break to go its way on Monday afternoon.
Iowa was not spectacular in its opening round victory against Grand Canyon but it did enough things well to establish itself as a legitimate contender to win the West Region. I am expecting a more complete effort on Monday with the Hawkeyes raising their level of play.
