UPDATE 4 P.M. ET MONDAY: This is a hotly anticipated game, with Deion Sanders making his Colorado coaching debut. But he's taking over a program that's been awful much of the past 16 years or so. In 2022, the Buffaloes were among college football's worst, going 1-11 SU and 2-10 ATS.

On the flip side, Texas Christian was among the best in the nation last year. The Horned Frogs made a surprise run all the way to the CFP championship game. But the fun stopped there as TCU, a 13.5-point pup, got steamrolled by Georgia 65-7.

TwinSpires opened and is still at TCU -21, on two-way action with a lean toward big underdog Colorado. The Buffaloes are taking 56% of spread bets/60% of spread dollars.

"There's a lot of hype around Colorado with Deion Sanders. We're expecting the Buffaloes to be a popular bet early on this season," Lucas said.

TwinSpires opened the total at 59 on Aug. 22, and this morning it was at 59.5. Since then, the number has rocketed to 63.5, with tickets 2/1 and money 3/1 on the Over.

"The public is expecting a lot of points in this one. We'll likely need the Under at kickoff," Lucas said.
