UPDATE 4 P.M. ET MONDAY: Yes, it's another FCS-FBS mismatch in the college football odds Week 1 market.

Kansas State had an outstanding 2022-23 season, reaching the Big 12 championship game, where it lost to TCU 31-28 in overtime. The Wildcats earned a Sugar Bowl bid, where they totally ran out of steam.

K-State, a 7.5-point underdog, jumped out to 10-0 lead. But Alabama rolled from there, scoring the next 35 points in a 45-20 victory.

At least Southeast Missouri State is a good FCS team. The Redhawks went 9-3 SU last season, losing to Montana in the first round of the FCS playoffs.
