UPDATE 8:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Kickoff is still two hours away, in one of the day's last games. Or what would often be called "the get-even or get-even-deeper game" by Jay Rood, former head of race and sports for MGM Resorts.

At BetMGM Nevada, Oregon is 16.5-point chalk. The Ducks opened -15.5 and fell back to -14.5 Thursday, then climbed to -15.5 Friday and -16.5 this afternoon.

"A ton of tickets on each side, a handful more on Oregon. Money is 8/1 on Oregon, including a $55,000 bet at -15.5," BetMGM Nevada's Scott Shelton said. "They are playing USC on the moneyline, 9/1 tickets and 2/1 money. They're also pounding the Over. Tickets are 5/1 and money almost 8/1."

BetMGM Nevada opened the total at 73.5 and made its way 77.5 by this afternoon, with stops all along the way throughout the week. Late this afternoon, the number dipped to 76.5 (Over -115), but it's now back at 77.5.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Oregon (8-1 SU/7-1-1 ATS) has three straight wins since a tight loss at Washington, and is one of the nation's top spread-covering outfits. In Week 10, the Ducks hammered California 63-19 as 27-point home favorites.

By contrast, USC continues to go the wrong way, like John Candy in Plains, Trains and Automobiles. The Trojans (7-3 SU/2-8 ATS) dropped three of their last four SU and are on an 0-7 SU landslide. In Week 10, Southern Cal was a 3-point home 'dog vs. Washington and lost in a shootout 52-42.

The Ducks inched down a half-point to -15 at TwinSpires. Oregon is seeing 54% of spread tickets, while 55% of spread money is on Southern Cal.

"Good two-way action so far. It's our second-most-bet game, behind Michigan-Penn State," Lucas said.

It's another big total in the Pac-12, at 73.5. Early ticket count is 3/1 and early money almost 4/1 on the Over. The Washington-USC total closed at 76.5 and overshot that by late in the third quarter.

"The public saw what USC did last week. They're expecting another Pac-12 shootout," Lucas said..
