College Football Odds Week 3: Northwestern vs Duke Lines, Spreads, Betting Trends

College football odds for Week 3 are on the board and receiving plenty of attention as we tackle all the major storylines of the weekend. The Northwestern Wildcats and Duke Blue Devils meet at Wallace Wade Stadium in Durham on Saturday, September 16 at 3:30 p.m. ET on ACC Network.

Here's everything you need to know about the college football odds for the Week 3 game between Northwestern vs Duke: the opening lines, spreads, betting trends and more. Check back regularly for updates.

Northwestern vs Duke Odds

• Opening point spread: Duke -20.5
• Opening moneyline: Duke -1400/Northwestern +800
• Opening total: Over/Under 46.5 points scored
• Time: 3:30 p.m. ET Saturday (ACC Network)

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Duke opened as a 19.5-point favorite at TwinSpires Sportsbook and steadily receded to -17 this week. Ticket count is 2.5/1 Blue Devils, but money is almost dead even.

"Sharp action on Northwestern throughout the week. The public is siding with Duke," TwinSpires' Zachary Lucas said.

TwinSpires' total is up to 48 from a 46.5 opener, with the Over seeing 57% of tickets/66% of money.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This line steadily dropped throughout the week at BetMGM. The Blue Devils opened -21.5 and bottomed out this afternoon at -17.5. Still, 78% of early spread tickets/69% of early spread dollars are on Duke.

The total climbed from 46.5 to 48.5 by Tuesday at BetMGM. There's been no movement since on two-way action, with 58% of bets/54% of cash on the Under.

UPDATE 1 P.M. ET MONDAY: Duke (2-0 SU/1-1 ATS) got its season off to a roaring start with a home upset of Clemson. In Week 2, the Blue Devils face much lighter competition against FCS foe Lafayette. Duke coasted to a 42-7 victory, but didn't cash as a 42.5-point fave.

Northwestern (1-1 SU and ATS) had no trouble as a 1-point home chalk vs. UTEP, rolling 38-7.
