  • Opening total: Over/Under 48.5 points scored
  • Time: 7 p.m. ET Saturday (FS1)

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Sooners are pinned to -20 at BetMGM, with the only adjustment coming this morning to -20 (-105). Oklahoma is now back at -20 flat, with tickets 2/1 and money 3/1 on big underdog Iowa State.

Likewise, the total hasn't moved off 48.5 so far. The Over is drawing 54% of bets, while 73% of cash is on the Under.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Oklahoma (4-0 SU and ATS) is among just five teams that remain perfect against the oddsmakers. The Sooners just barely covered the number in Week 4, beating Cincinnati 20-6 as 13.5-point favorites.

Iowa State (2-2 SU and ATS) halted a two-game SU and ATS hiccup with a 34-27 home win giving 3.5 points against Oklahoma State.

After opening at Sooners -20, Caesars initially backed up to -19 Sunday afternoon. By this morning, though, the number was up to Oklahoma -21.

  • Opening total: Over/Under 51 points scored
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday (ABC)

UPDATE 6:45 P.M. ET SATURDAY: With 45 minutes until kickoff, Notre Dame remains -5.5, with the number sticking there all week at BetMGM Nevada. Ticket count is 3/1 and money 6/1 on Notre Dame in BetMGM's Las Vegas market.

"It's basically all public action on Notre Dame spread," BetMGM Nevada's Scott Shelton said. "On the moneyline, it's 2/1 tickets Duke, but money is really close."

The total climbed from 51.5 to 54.5 by Thursday, but quickly receded to 52.5. It's now 52.5 (Over -115).

"Tickets are dead even, but it's 3/1 money on the Over," Shelton said.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Notre Dame moved from -5 to -5.5 Sunday night at PointsBet and hasn't budged since. Pont-spread ticket count is 3/1 and practically all the early spread cash is on the Fighting Irish.

The total initially backed up, going from the 52 opener to 50.5 by Monday afternoon. It then climbed as high as 54.5, reaching that mark this morning before receding to 53. The Over is seeing 53% of tickets, while 64% of money is on the Under.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: With a little better clock management – and perhaps timeout usage in extremely important situations – Notre Dame would likely still be unbeaten. But alas, the Fighting Irish (4-1 SU and ATS) gave up a final-seconds TD to Ohio State, losing 17-14 as 3.5-point home 'dogs.

Duke (4-0 SU/3-1 ATS) continues to build off its Week 1 upset of Clemson. In Week 4, the Blue Devils drilled UConn 41-7 laying 22 points on the road.

Notre Dame hasn't moved off -5.5 in TwinSpires' college football odds Week 5 market. The Irish are getting 52% of early tickets, and 51% of early money is on the Blue Devils.

"Action is right down the middle, by a few dollars," Lucas said.

The total dipped a point to 50, with 60% of tickets/63% of money on the Under early on.

South Carolina vs No. 21 Tennessee Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Tennessee -11.5
  • Opening moneyline: Tennessee -455/South Carolina +345
  • Opening total: Over/Under 61 points scored
  • Time: 7:30 p.m. ET Saturday (SEC Network)

UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Tennessee opened -11.5 at BetMGM and has spent the week bouncing between -12 and -12.5. The Vols are currently -12.5, though tickets and money are in the 2.5/1 range on the Gamecocks.

Early moneyline bettors are also on South Carolina, which last year stunned Tennessee 63-38 as a hefty 23.5-point home underdog. Moneyline tickets are 5/1 and moneyline cash beyond 9/1 on the Gamecocks.

The total opened at 62.5, topped out at 63.5 Monday and just hit its low point of 60.5 in the past few minutes. The Under is netting 60% of early tickets/78% of early dollars.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: After losing at Florida, Tennessee (3-1 SU/2-2 ATS) stepped away from SEC play for a week and got back on track. The Vols rolled over UTSA 45-14 to cash as 24-point home faves.

South Carolina (2-2 SU and ATS) has covered three in a row. But the Gamecocks are probably still smarting after taking a 14-3 halftime lead at Georgia, only to lose 26-14 in Week 3. Still, in Week 4, South Carolina rebounded with a 37-30 win as 6-point home chalk against Mississippi State.

Tennessee is already up a point in Caesars' college football Week 5 odds market, going to -12 and -12.5 this morning. The total climbed a point to 62 Sunday evening.

"There's sharp play on both sides of this game: Mississippi State +14.5 right when we opened, and as soon as we went to 14, sharp play on 'Bama -14," BetMGM Nevada's Scott Shelton said. "It's 4/1 tickets and money on Alabama."

The total initially climbed from 47.5 to 48.5 Sunday night, then spent the week toggling between 47.5 and 46.5. Then late this morning, the total dropped to 45.5 (Over -115).

"Really good two-way on tickets. Money approaching 3/1 on the Under. Sharp play on Under 47.5," Shelton said.

UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This line toggled between 'Bama -14.5 and -14.0 early in the week at BetMGM. The Crimson Tide are now -14.5 (-115), with ticket count 5/1 and money 6/1 in favor of Alabama.

BetMGM's total went from 47.5 to 48.5 Sunday night. It then fell back to 46.5 Monday, climbed to 47.5 Wednesday and returned to 46.5 this morning. Tickets are running 5/1 and money 2/1 on the Under.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Alabama (3-1 SU/2-2 ATS) took care of Ole Miss 24-10 as 7-point home chalk in Week 4. Mississippi State (2-2 SU/1-3 ATS) lost at South Carolina 37-30 catching 6 points, the Bulldogs' third straight ATS setback.

Alabama nudged up to 14.5 shortly after opening Sunday in Caesars' college football odds Week 5 market. The total stretched to 48.5 within a couple of hours Sunday, then went to 48 this morning.

UPDATE 4 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Caesars Sports didn't have splits available on this game, but vice president of trading Craig Mucklow offered a nugget on the total. The total opened at 70.5 Sunday night and by Monday night had tumbled to 67.5, with multiple stops along the way.

This afternoon, the total is down to 66 at Caesars.

"The sharpest of the sharps are on Washington-Arizona Under 69," Mucklow said.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Washington (4-0 SU/3-1 ATS), behind QB Michael Penix, just keeps piling up the points. In Week 4, the Huskies drop-kicked California 59-32 giving 20 points at home. Washington has scored 41 points or more in all four games this season.

Arizona (3-1 SU and ATS) went to Stanford as a 13-point fave and barely squeaked out a win. The Wildcats needed a mid-fourth-quarter TD to go up 21-17, then held on for a 21-20 victory.

After opening Washington-Arizona at Huskies -17, Caesars advanced to -18, then went to -17.5 Sunday night. The total is down a point to 69.5.

Conversely, the total has seen a fair amount of movement at BetMGM. The number opened at 53.5, touched 54 Monday afternoon, then rolled all the way back to 49.5 by late Tuesday morning. It's been at 50.5 since lunchtime Thursday, with tickets and money in the 2/1 range on the Under.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Fresno State cracked the Top 25 with its 4-0 SU start (3-1 ATS). In Week 4, the Bulldogs pounded Kent State 53-10 as 27.5-point home favorites.

Nevada (0-4 SU/2-2 ATS) lost to Texas State 35-24, but cashed as a 17-point road 'dog.

Some early bettors are eschewing the points and instead betting LSU moneyline, currently -140. Tickets are 3/1 and money beyond 9/1 on the Tigers.

PointsBet's total climbed from 63.5 to 67.5 by Wednesday afternoon. The Over is netting 61% of tickets/82% of money so far.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: LSU (3-1 SU/2-2 ATS) narrowly avoided what would've been a devastating second loss of the season. Laying 17.5 points against visiting Arkansas, the Tigers needed a final-seconds field goal to win 34-31.

Mississippi (3-1 SU and ATS) won and cashed its first three, but had a tough Week 4 chore at Alabama. The Rebels lost 27-10 catching 7 points.

There's no early spread movement at TwinSpires. But ticket count is 2.5/1 and money 2/1 on the short road chalk Tigers.

"LSU is one of the more popular bets since we opened Week 5 games. LSU moneyline is already seeing 6/1 tickets and 7/1 money," Lucas said.

Georgia returned to -14.5 early Friday, but again went back to -14 today. Interestingly, spread tickets are running 6/1-plus on the Bulldogs, but spread money is dead even.

The total initially nudged up from 47 to 47.5 at Caesars, then made its way down to 45 by Friday. Today, it's down another tick to 44.5. Splits aren't available.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET THURSDAY: PointsBet moved Georgia from a -16 opener to -14.5 by Monday morning, and the line hasn't budged since. The Bulldogs are netting 77% of spread bets, but spread money is much closer, with 59% on the favorite.

The Kansas-Texas line is stable at -17.5, with 60% of early tickets/62% of early money on the underdog Jayhawks.

UPDATE 11:30 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Thirty minutes from kickoff, USC is a 22.5-point favorite at BetMGM. The Trojans opened -27.5 and quickly dropped to -23.5 on the way to -21.5, where they spent most of the week. But the line climbed to USC -22.5 (-105) in the past hour.

The Trojans are seeing 52% of spread tickets/58% of spread cash. But once again, bettors are piling on Buffaloes moneyline, with Colorado getting 94% of bets/76% of money. Colorado is currently +900 to pull off the upset.

"The Colorado hype train is slowing down, but USC winning is still a massive need for the book," BetMGM trader Seamus Magee said.

BetMGM's total dipped from 73.5 to 72.5 Friday and remains 72.5 now. The Under is seeing 54% of tickets, while 57% of money is on the Over.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Bettors aren't quite willing to jump off the Coach Prime train just yet, at least on the moneyline. And spread bettors are sticking around to a degree, as well.

PointsBet opened the Trojans -23.5 and briefly hit a low point Wednesday of -21. USC is now -21.5, with spread tickets dead even and 64% of spread money on the Trojans.

But on the moneyline, Colorado is attracting 98% of early tickets/94% of early money. The moneyline is currently Trojans -1425/Buffs +785, after sitting in the range of -3000/+1135 early in the week at PointsBet.

"Despite the lopsided result in Eugene last Saturday, bettors still are backing the Buffs at Folsom Field vs. USC and reigning Heisman Trophy winner Caleb Williams," PointsBet trader Ethan Useloff said. "The myriad of bets on the Colorado moneyline is to be expected. Bettors would prefer to back the moneyline of a heavy underdog rather than a heavy favorite, given the potential returns.

"Coupling that with the hype surrounding the Buffaloes and Coach Prime, and this shouldn't come as too much of a surprise."

PointsBet's total is stable at 73.5, with tickets almost 2/1 on the Under, but money 8/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Colorado received a big come-uppance in Week 4 at Oregon. The Buffaloes (3-1 SU/2-2 ATS) closed as 21-point underdogs and got body-slammed 42-6, to the delight of bookmakers across the country.

Meanwhile, Southern Cal let Arizona State make a game of it into the fourth quarter. The Trojans (4-0 SU/2-2 ATS) won 42-28, but fell miles short laying 34.5 points on the road.

TwinSpires opened USC-Colorado at Trojans -22.5 and is down to -22. Southern Cal is getting 58% of early bets, and Colorado is seeing 58% of early money.

"Sharp play on Colorado +22.5," Lucas said. "Colorado won't be nearly as big of a liability as we've seen in the past, after that defeat to Oregon. We may even end up needing the Buffaloes by Saturday."

The total inched from 73.5 to 74 early, with tickets 4/1 and money almost 6/1 on the Over.

"It's been all Over money. The total can't be high enough," Lucas said.

UPDATE 11:30 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Kentucky tumbled from -3 to -1 by Tuesday, with a stop at -2.5 along the way at BetMGM. Still, tickets are 2/1 and money 2.5/1 on the Wildcats.

"There’s great two-way action on Kentucky vs Florida. But we expect considerable handle to come in on Kentucky leading up to kickoff, since we just launched sport betting in the state," BetMGM trader Seamus Magee said.

The total steadily made its way down from 46.5 to 43.5 by this morning. The Under is taking 58% of tickets/64% of dollars.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET THURSDAY: PointsBet opened the Wildcats a field-goal favorite and by Tuesday was down to Kentucky -1. This afternoon, Kentucky is -1 (even), even though spread ticket is 2/1 and spread money 9/1 on the Wildcats.

The total opened 46.5, bottomed out at 44 Tuesday afternoon and climbed to 45.5 this afternoon. Tickets are 4/1-plus and money beyond 9/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Florida bounced back from its season-opening loss at Utah with three straight victories, including an impressive Week 3 win over Tennessee. In Week 4, the Gators (3-1 SU/1-3 ATS) were a bit less impressive, beating Charlotte 22-7 as 28-point home favorites.

Kentucky (4-0 SU/3-1 ATS) is probably none too impressed by the SEC schedule makers. The Wildcats get Florida this week, then travel to No. 1 Georgia in Week 6.

Kentucky is coming off a 45-28 win laying 13.5 points at Vanderbilt.

The Wildcats remain -3 at TwinSpires, where 53% of bets are on Florida and 55% of money is on Kentucky.

"Great two-way action to start the week. I'm not expecting a big liability on this one," Lucas said.

The total is down a tick to 45.5, with 58% of tickets/56% of money on the Under.

UPDATE 11:30 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Caesars Sports has moved this line around throughout the week in its college football odds Week 5 market. Penn State opened -26, initially backed up to -25.5, then peaked at -27 multiple times early in the week.

On Thursday, the Nittany Lions dipped to -26.5, but they returned to -27 this morning. Spread tickets are running 5/1 and spread money 2.5/1 on Penn State.

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Nittany Lions opened -25.5 in BetMGM's college football odds Week 5 market. Penn State peaked at -27.5 Tuesday, then went to -26.5 (-115) Thursday. Ticket count is 3/1-plus and money 2.5/1 on the Nittany Lions.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Penn State is getting it done on the field and against the oddsmakers, sitting at 4-0 SU and ATS. The Nittany Lions were 14-point home favorites against Iowa and coasted to a 31-0 victory.

Northwestern (2-2 SU and ATS) notched an upset in Week 4. The Wildcats closed as 11-point home 'dogs to Minnesota and forced overtime on a final-seconds touchdown, tying the game at 31. Northwestern then won 37-34 in OT.

The Penn State-Northwestern spread went from -26. to -26.5 Sunday evening at Caesars Sports. The line then returned to -26 this morning. The total nudged down to 46.

No. 10 Utah vs No. 19 Oregon State Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Oregon State -2.5
  • Opening moneyline: Oregon State -129/Utah +106
  • Opening total: Over/Under 45.5 points scored
  • Time: 9 p.m. ET Friday (FS1)

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Oregon State opened -2 and steadily crept up during the week, peaking at -4.5 Thursday afternoon at PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience. The line is now Beavers -4.

Interestingly, Utah is netting 72% of spread tickets, while 55% of spread money is on Oregon State.

"The way the spread has moved implied that Utah starting QB Cam Rising will not be making his season debut tonight," trader Wyatt Satre said in The Hustle, PointsBet's daily news release. "Most of the sharp money came earlier in the week, likely banking on redshirt freshman QB Nate Johnson to be under center [for Utah]. He has struggled in the pass game, which is a relief for an Oregon State secondary that just got torched by Cam Ward and Washington State."

The total opened at 46, bottomed out at 43.5 briefly Wednesday and has been at 44.5 since then. It's two-way play, with 55% of bets on the Under/56% of money on the Over. The Under is 4-0 for Utah this season.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Oregon State opened -2 and steadily climbed to -4 by this afternoon at PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience. Betting on the spread is interesting at the moment, with 73% of early tickets on the underdog Utes, but 91% of early money on the favored Beavers.

On the moneyline, which is currently Oregon State -180/Utah +150, it's almost dead-even two-way play, with a slight lean toward the road underdog.

The total receded from 46 to 43.5 by Wednesday, then rebounded to 44.5 (Over -115) by this afternoon. That movement is on close two-way action, too.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET MONDAY: Utah (4-0 SU/2-1-1 ATS) still hasn't had Cameron Rising under center this season. But he might return this week from a torn ACL suffered in the Rose Bowl.

In Week 4, the Utes held off UCLA 14-7 as 3.5-point home favorites.

Oregon State (3-1 SU/2-2 ATS) went to Washington State as a 3-point favorite and exited with a 38-35 loss.

Early bettors seem to think Rising might be out another week. TwinSpires Sportsbook already moved the Beavers to -3 and -3.5 in its college football odds Week 5 market. Utah is getting 58% of early tickets, while 66% of early cash is on Oregon State.

"Sharp play on Oregon State -2.5/-3. But the public likes the better-ranked team catching 3.5," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total opened and remains 45.5, with 52% of tickets on the Under and 55% of money on the Over.
