UPDATE 12:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Iowa remains -3.5 at BetMGM (see below update), but spread splits have shifted over the past 24 hours. The Hawkeys are getting 69% of bets and the slimmest majority 51% of money.

Also as noted below, the total is quite intriguing. It's at 30.5, with 52% of bets/53% of money on the Under. Wind could be an issue today in Iowa City.

UPDATE NOON ET FRIDAY: If Iowa is playing, then the total is often more intriguing than the side. This week, BetMGM opened at 32.5, went to 31.5 Wednesday and 30.5 Thursday. It's now at 30.5 (Over -115) on two-way play, with 55% of tickets/59% of money on the Under.

Weather is a factor in that downward total move. Winds of 20-30 mph, with potentially higher wind gusts, are in the Iowa City forecast.

The spread has seen significant movement, too. Iowa toggled between the -5.5 opener and -4.5 a couple times during the day Monday, then went to -4/-3.5 (-120) by Monday evening. The Hawkeyes are now -3.5 flat.

Iowa is drawing 60% of spread tickets, but 61% of spread money is on Minnesota.

UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: Iowa wins are rarely pretty – with Week 7 a prime example – but the Hawkeyes have strung together enough this season to crack the AP poll. As 8.5-point road pups to Wisconsin in Week 7, Iowa (6-1 SU/4-2-1 ATS) won a rock fight 15-6.

Minnesota (3-3 SU/1-5 ATS) had a Week 7 bye, and probably needed it. The Gophers were dealt a 52-10 beatdown as 19-point home 'dogs to Michigan in Week 6.

Caesars opened Iowa -5.5, dropped to -4.5 early this morning and is now at -5.
