UPDATE 11:15 A.M. ET SATURDAY: Forty-five minutes before kickoff, Ohio State is laying 4 points in Caesars Sports' college football odds Week 8 market. The Buckeyes opened -5 Sunday afternoon and quickly dipped to -4.5.

Ohio State then toggled between -4.5 and -4 a couple of times, then stuck at -4.5 from Wednesday until this morning, when the line dipped to -4. Penn State is attracting 62% of spread bets/60% of spread money.

The total dropped from 48 to 45.5 by Wednesday, with multiple stops along the way. Current Caesars splits aren't available, but multiple sportsbooks reported sharp Under play.

UPDATE 5:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: The Buckeyes opened -5.5 (-105) Sunday night at PointsBet, a Fanatics Experience. Within four hours, the line dropped to Ohio State -4, then spent the early part of the week toggling between -4 and -4.5.

The number has been stable at -4.5 since Wednesday morning. Early ticket count is 2/1 and early money beyond 9/1 on underdog Penn State. That includes a couple of low-five-figure plays on the Nittany Lions.

"We’ve seen sharp action on Penn State so far, and Ohio State is dealing with injuries on offense," trader Wyatt Satre said in The Hustle, PointsBet's digital newsletter.

The total opened at 48 and bottomed out Wednesday at 45.5, where it remains now, and there were several stops along the way. Ticket count is dead even, while 63% of money is on the Under.

UPDATE 2:30 P.M. ET MONDAY: Ohio State (6-0 SU/3-2-1 ATS) is on a 3-0-1 ATS upswing. In Week 7, the Buckeyes blasted Purdue 41-7 laying 17 points at home.

Penn State had a bye in Week 6 and might as well have had one in Week 7. The Nittany Lions (6-0 SU and ATS) steamrolled UMass 63-0 as massive 42-point home favorites. Penn State is one of three teams with a 6-0 ATS mark, joining Oklahoma and UNLV.

TwinSpires Sportsbook opened Ohio State -4.5 and is already down to -4. Ticket count is 2.5/1 and money 3/1-plus on road 'dog Penn State.

"It's a mix of sharp and public play on Penn State. Without a doubt, the Nittany Lions are the most popular 'dog this season," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total is down a point to 47, with 62% of early tickets on the Over and 59% of early money on the Under.
