Colorado vs Nebraska Odds: Unranked Clash in College Football Week 2 Lines

Colorado vs Nebraska odds might take you back to the days of the Big 8 and early Big 12. That was long ago, although the Buffaloes are now back in the Big 12.

This week, odds for Colorado vs. Nebraska are attractive for three reasons: Colorado coach Deion Sanders (of course); a quarterback duel between Shedeur Sanders and Dylan Raiola; and the two-way play of the electric Travis Hunter.

UPDATE 4:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: With three hours until kickoff, Nebraska sits at -6.5 (-120) on BetMGM's college football Week 2 odds board. The Huskers opened -6.5 and peaked at -7.5 a couple times in the past few days, most recently Thursday. The line fell to -6.5 Friday.

"A Nebraska win and Colorado cover is the best for the house. The moneyline is a 50/50 split or thereabouts, but with the price, Colorado is obviously a loser for us," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said.

The Buffaloes are +200 on the moneyline, while the Huskers are -250.

The total opened at 56.5, peaked at 58.5 early in the week, then steadily made its way down to 55.5 by Friday. It's now 56, and Magee said the book would prefer Under 55.5.

UPDATE 10 P.M. ET FRIDAY: The Huskers are laying 6.5 points in Fanatics Sportsbook's Colorado vs Nebraska odds. That's where the line opened, and it spent time at Nebraska -7.5 before returning to -6.5.

"Surprisingly, this is the sixth-biggest game on the slate for us. I thought for sure it would be higher up," Fanatics college football trader Ty Gour said. "We're seeing a lot of Colorado action at +7.5. The moneyline is split almost 50/50."

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET TUESDAY: Colorado (1-0 SU/0-1 ATS) got all it could handle from perennial FCS championship contender North Dakota State in Week 1. The Buffaloes trailed at multiple junctures in the first half and were down 20-17 at recess.

But the Buffs tightened up on defense in the second half and won 31-26 as 11-point home favorites. Hunter, a wideout and defensive back, had three receiving touchdowns, and Sanders threw for 445 yards and four TDs.

Meanwhile, Nebraska (1-0 SU and ATS) ran over UTEP 40-7 laying 27.5 points at home. Raiola, a true freshman, led the Huskers to a 37-7 lead before exiting after Nebraska's first possession of the second half.

TwinSpires Sportsbook opened Colorado vs Nebraska odds at Huskers -7 and went to -7.5. But the number just fell back to Nebraska -7 (-117). The Huskers are seeing 60% of early spread tickets/72% of early spread money.

However, to no one's surprise, Coach Prime & Co. are getting moneyline support.

"It's a mix of public and sharp play on Nebraska spread," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said. "The moneyline is a different story, with the public taking a shot on Colorado, at 66% of tickets and 84% of money."

The total is up a tick, from 57 to 57.5, with 63% of tickets/59% of money on the Over in the early going.
