🚨UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Fanatics Sportsbook is down to LSU -6, from an opener of -7. That's despite the fact that the Tigers are getting plenty of attention in the LSU Tigers vs. South Carolina Gamecocks odds market.

"LSU moneyline is our third-most-popular parlay pick," Fanatics college football trader Ty Gour said this afternoon. "Action has been heavy on LSU, 70/30 on the spread and 85/15 on the moneyline."

Fanatics has seen the total fall, too, in fact more so than the spread. The total opened at 52 and is down to 48.5 in LSU vs. South Carolina odds.

After a respectable Week 1 neutral-site loss to USC, Week 2 was supposed to be much easier for LSU (1-1 SU/0-2 ATS). Yet against FCS foe Nicholls State, the Tigers were up just 23-21 early in the third quarter.

That's not the expectation of a 46.5-point home favorite. Sure, LSU ripped off the next 21 points, all in the third quarter, but a 44-21 home win wasn't exactly impressive.

On the flip side, South Carolina (2-0 SU/1-1 ATS) was quite impressive in Week 2. The Gamecocks were catching 9.5 points at Kentucky and posted a 31-6 blowout win.

In College Football Odds Week 3, TwinSpires Sportsbook opened LSU -7 and quickly went to -7.5. The line slid to Tigers -6.5 (-115) Monday afternoon, but it's since gotten back to -7. South Carolina is seeing 59% of early spread tickets, while 54% of early spread cash is on LSU.

"Liability is close to even on the spread. But the moneyline is a different story, with a 6/1 ticket count and 10/1 money count on LSU," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said Thursday.

LSU opened -265 on the moneyline and is now -286.

The total opened at 52 and fell off to 48.5, with multiple stops along the way. The Under is getting 60% of tickets/53% of cash in TwinSpires' odds for LSU vs. South Carolina.
