2022 Boise State Broncos Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions
2022 BOISE STATE BRONCOS BETTING ODDS, PREDICTIONS, PREVIEW
Boise State comes into the 2022 season after winning just seven games last season, their lowest since 1998. Most schools would be satisfied with a 7-5 SU record and a bowl bid, but this is a program that has gotten accustomed to winning 10+ games per season. Even Vegas knows this is the Boise State standard with their win total set at nine. Second year head coach Andy Avalos will need to make a few adjustments headed into this season, but this program always finds a way.
On the offensive side of the ball, the Broncos will return senior starting quarterback Hank Bachmeier (3,079 YDS, 20 TD, 8 INT) as well as the same offensive coordinator as last season. This is the first time Bachmeier will have the same coordinator in consecutive seasons. Top receiver Khalil Shakir is now a Buffalo Bill, but senior Stefan Cobbs (34 REC, 421 YDS, 5 TD) is poised to have a breakout season. The defense will also see a couple of key players return including All-Mountain West tackle Scott Matlock, safety JL Skinner, and cornerback Caleb Biggers.
Looking at the Broncos season schedule, every single game is winnable. Road games against Oregon State, Nevada, Air Force, and Wyoming will be tough, but again these are winnable games. I expect Boise State to be the team to come out of the Mountain Division to compete for the championship. You could back Boise State to go over their win total of 9 (-120), but to me there is much better value in backing them to win the Mountain West Championship (+200).
Best Bet: Boise State Wins Mountain West Championship (+200)

BOISE STATE BRONCOS ODDS TO WIN MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIP
+200
After finishing third in the Mountain division last season, Boise State is back as the favorite to win the Conference Championship. There is much better value in this bet than their win total. If they do manage to win 10 games, they will more than likely be back on top of the Mountain West Conference so may as well take the better payout. Regardless, expect Boise State to be in contention for the Conference Championship towards the end of the season.
BOISE STATE BRONCOS ODDS TO WIN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
+50000
Based on ESPN’s Football Power Index, no Mountain West team has even a .01% chance to make the playoffs let alone win the National Championship. Obviously, these are just computer predictions but still quite telling that there is not much hope for this bet to hit. Probably the most realistic team from the Mountain West to make it to the big game, but this is not a smart play.
BOISE STATE BRONCOS 2022 HEISMAN CONTENDERS & ODDS
The Boise State Broncos do not have any Heisman contenders to begin the 2022 season.
