2022 Colorado State Rams Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions

2022 COLORADO STATE RAMS BETTING ODDS, PREDICTIONS, PREVIEW

With a 3-9 SU 2021 record Colorado State had yet another disappointing season. The Rams will bring in Jay Norvell from Nevada to see if a change of head coach can turn things around. Norvell was the Head Coach of Nevada from 2017-2021 so he is very familiar with the Mountain West Conference. Norvell is not the only new addition to the Rams this season as Colorado State has plenty of transfers coming in to mix things up.

Backup quarterback Clay Millen comes over from Nevada to become the Rams QB1. Wide receivers Tory Holton (52 REC, 659 Yards, 5 TD) and Melquan Stovall (56 REC, 643 YDS, 1 TD) are also Nevada transfers and should make an immediate impact alongside Rams top receivers Dante Wright (44 REC, 554 YDS, 3 TD) and Ty McCullouch (24 REC, 415 YDS, 1 TD). The Rams will not run the ball much this season but running back A’Jon Vivens (90 ATT, 324 YDS) and Nevada transfer Avery Morrow (11 ATT, 121 YDS, 1 TD) will lead the backfield. The defense did not land as many transfers but still have talent to work with.

Colorado State will have a tough time covering their win total of 5.5 with the schedule they have been presented with. The Rams will open things up against Michigan, Middle Tennessee State, and Washington State. A win in one of these three games will be needed to cover. Playing Nevada, Boise State, and Air Force on the road are also tough asks for the Rams. With this kind of schedule and a brand-new look to Colorado State, I think it may be a year or two for Norvell to turn this ship around. I have the Rams winning five games this season so backing the under 5.5 wins (+125) is the best play here.

COLORADO STATE RAMS ODDS TO WIN MOUNTAIN WEST CHAMPIONSHIP

+2200

Colorado State’s schedule is a bit tough for them to be in contention for the Mountain West Championship this season. They should see improvements but road games against Michigan, Washington State, Boise State, and Air Force will be enough to take them out of the picture even if they do manage to win the rest of their games. Stay away from this wager until Norvell gets a season or two under his belt.

COLORADO STATE RAMS ODDS TO WIN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP

+150000

A one or two loss season could put the Rams in the top 25 rankings, but a National Championship is not in store for Colorado State. A winning season would be a start for this program and then move on to bigger goals. Stay away from this one as this is not a realistic play.
