2022 Oregon Ducks Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions
2022 OREGON DUCKS BETTING ODDS, PREDICTIONS, PREVIEW
Oregon heads into 2022 set up for success after 10-4 SU season in 2021. After losing Head Coach Mario Cristobol to Miami, the Ducks bring in 36-year-old Dan Lanning who made a name for himself as a defensive coach for Georgia. The Ducks will see success within the conference but need to take the next step back into the College Football Playoffs.
Oregon is generally an offensive oriented team but bringing in Lanning will add more attention to the defense, which could be dangerous for the rest of the Pac-12. Auburn transfer Bo Nix (2,294 YDS, 11 TD, 3 INT) comes in to take over as the starting quarterback. With a solid offensive line to protect him, Nix has potential for a great season. The wide receivers will be a mix of transfers and younger guys and should be enough talent for Nix to throw to. The Ducks have two of the best linebackers in the country in Justin Flowe and Noah Sewell and the rest of the defense should be better with Lanning running the show.
With a new head coach in place, Vegas has placed Oregon’s win total at 8.5. Georgia will be a tough game to open the season, but their next toughest game doesn’t come until later in the season against Utah and the Ducks will play that one at home. Other than those two games Oregon should take care of business. They avoid both USC and Arizona State so the most I see them losing is three games this season. Over 8.5 wins (-135) is a great play and I also think there is value in taking the Ducks to win the Pac-12 Championship.
Best Bet: Oregon over 8.5 Wins (-135)

OREGON DUCKS ODDS TO WIN PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP
+290
Oregon, USC, and Utah are my three favorites to win the Pac-12 Championship game, so I think there is value in this bet. The Ducks can only beat themselves when it comes to reaching the championship game as their schedule plays in their favor. With Bo Nix leading the offense and a defensive minded head coach, a half unit here is the smart play.
OREGON DUCKS ODDS TO WIN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
+4000
A win week one over Georgia is needed for Oregon to find themselves in contention. If they can manage to do that, they could very well find themselves undefeated at the end of the season. Even so, who knows if it would be enough for the committee to put them in the playoffs. A small wager here is not a bad idea, but there are many other teams in better position to win it all.
OREGON DUCKS 2022 HEISMAN CONTENDERS & ODDS
Bo Nix (QB) +10000
Noah Sewell (LB) +20000
Ty Thompson (QB) +20000
Nix finished last season with 2,294 YDS, 11 TD, and 3 INT. After spending three seasons at Auburn, Nix decided a change of scenery was needed and the Ducks welcomed him with open arms. A solid season is in store for Nix, but I am not sure he will see this kind of success in his first year at a new program. Cornerback Charles Woodson is the only defensive player to win the Heisman. For as good as Sewell is, this one is not happening.
If there were a separate Heisman trophy winner for defensive players, I am sure Sewell would be one of the top candidates but until then stay away from all Heisman bets involving defensive players. A bit of a long shot here with Bo Nix looking to be their go-to-guy. Thompson was a five-star recruit coming out of high school and will get his time to shine in years to come. He may be featured in the offense but would not expect a big enough role to put him in Heisman contention.
