2022 Washington Huskies Betting Odds, Picks & Predictions
2022 WASHINGTON HUSKIES BETTING ODDS, PREDICTIONS, PREVIEW
Washington was ranked 20th headed into the 2021 season but were a huge disappointment as they won just four games. The Huskies bring in Head Coach Kalen DeBoer from Fresno State (9-3) to try and get this engine running. With 11 players coming in from the transfer portal in addition to returning talent, Deboer should have himself a veteran group in his first season at the helm.
Two-year Washington starter Dylan Morris (2,458 YDS, 14 TD, 12 INT) will have some competition for the starting quarterback job with the additions of Indiana transfer Michael Penix Jr (939 YDS, 4 TD, 7 INT) and sophomore five-star recruit Sam Huard. The receiving corp should be solid with Rome Odunze and Jalen McMillian (41 REC, 415 YDS,4 TD) and Jalen McMillan (39 REC, 470 YDS,3 TD) returning. The offensive line needs work and not much has been done in terms of replacing guys.
The Huskies need to win eight games this season to cover their win total of 7.5 (-120). While it seems like a big ask for a team that went 4-8 SU last season, their schedule plays in their favor. If Washington can sneak a win week three against Michigan State it would be huge for their chances. Colorado and Arizona are both on the schedule which is good news for the Huskies. Take care of a couple 50/50 games and you have got yourself a cover. I would not expect them to play for a Pac-12 Championship, but the Huskies are good for eight wins this season.
Best Bet: Over 7.5 wins (-120)

WASHINGTON HUSKIES ODDS TO WIN PAC-12 CHAMPIONSHIP
+1400
With this being coach DeBoer first season as head coach I do not expect the Huskies to be playing for a Pac-12 Championship. An unexpected speed bump is almost guaranteed in year one. However, they do avoid Utah and USC so the Huskies could find themselves in the mix towards the end of the season.
WASHINGTON HUSKIES ODDS TO WIN NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
+20000
Not worth placing any sort of wager here. Washington is bound to lose a few games with the season they had last year. With road games at UCLA, Arizona State, Oregon, and Washington State, the Huskies will slip up more than once.
WASHINGTON HUSKIES 2022 HEISMAN CONTENDERS & ODDS
Sam Huard (QB) +10000
Michael Penix (QB) +15000
Huard made his only start of the season in the Apple Cup vs Washington State, going 17-31 for 190 yards and a touchdown. Huard was a five-star recruit coming out of high school, so he has the talent. However, with Miachel Penix coming in from Indiana who knows how much time Huard will see. Penix comes in via the transfer portal from Indiana. He finished off his time in Indiana going 342-576, 29 TD, and 15 INT. Penix could have a solid season, but he could end up splitting time with Huard or not seeing the field whatsoever. Best to stay away from this wager.
