UPDATE 11:30 A.M. ET SATURDAY: With kickoff looming, the Longhorns are -7 (even) in BetMGM's odds for Texas vs Michigan. That's well up from a -3.5 opener, with stops along the way at -4.5, then straight to -6.5 Sunday, followed by a move to -7 Sunday, as well.

The line topped out at -7.5 Tuesday and stuck there until Thursday.

"A low-scoring Michigan cover is the need. Michigan outright is a great start to the day," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said.

The total opened at 44.5 and bottomed out this morning at 41.5, with stops at 43.5 Tuesday and 42.5 Wednesday. However, the bulk of the action is on the Over today in Ann Arbor.

"We're definitely gonna need the Under," Magee said.

UPDATE 8 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Sixteen hours before kickoff, the Longhorns are laying 7 points in Fanatics Sportsbook's Texas vs Michigan odds market. This line opened at Texas -3.5, sprinted to -6.5 after last weekend's games and got as far as -7.5 during the week.

"I think customers have seen what we're seeing. Texas looked really good last week, and Michigan did not. So that's guiding a lot of the action right now," Fanatics college football trader Ty Gour said, adding that Texas is popular in moneyline parlays, too.

The total is all the way down to 43.5, from a 48.5 opener and 49 high point.

"There may be some weather concerns, so that's a factor. Action-wise, we are seeing a heavy split toward the Under," Gour said.

Winds of 10-20 mph are expected in Ann Arbor on Saturday, with a high of just 61 on the first full weekend of September.

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET TUESDAY: Texas (1-0 SU and ATS) did what was expected of it in Week 1: Win in massive blowout fashion. The Longhorns closed as 35-point home favorites vs. Colorado State and rumbled to a 52-0 victory.

Michigan (1-0 SU and ATS) lost considerable talent from its national championship team, not least of all its coach Jim Harbaugh, along with quarterback J.J. McCarthy. In new coach Sherrone Moore's debut, the Wolverines beat Fresno State 30-10.

However, it took an 86-yard pick-six late in the game for Michigan to put away the Bulldogs. The Wolverines fell just short of covering as 21-point home favorites.

The Longhorns opened -6.5 in TwinSpires Sportsbook's Texas vs Michigan odds market. Texas then made a stop at -7 on the way to -7.5. Early action is all Longhorns, at 72% of spread tickets/90% of spread money.

"Not many people think Michigan has a shot in this game. It's not often that we say we'll need the defending champions at home, but we do," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total is already down 1.5 points, from 45 to 43.5. The Over is seeing 53% of early tickets, while 65% of early money is on the Under.

"Sharp play on Under 45," Lucas said.
