USC is already coming off a bye, taking Week 3 off after opening 2-0 SU and ATS. In Week 1, the Trojans notched an impressive 27-20 win catching 4 points against LSU, in a neutral-site game in Las Vegas.

Southern Cal followed with a much easier 48-0 rout of Utah State, with USC giving 31 points at home.

Michigan got flattened by Texas in Week 2, losing 31-12 as 6.5-point road underdogs. In Week 3, the Wolverines had Arkansas State in a 28-3 hole early in the fourth quarter, then let off the gas. Michigan won 28-18, but didn't cash as a 21.5-point home favorite.

TwinSpires Sportsbook opened the Trojans -5.5 and moved to -6 on the USC vs. Michigan odds board. On Thursday afternoon, the line is back at Southern Cal -5.5, with 75% of early spread tickets/82% of early spread money on the Trojans.

"It feels like nobody wants to back Michigan after the Week 2 performance vs. Texas. We'll be big fans of the Wolverines to at least get a cover for us," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said.

The total opened at 46 and is down to 44.5, with a stop at 45 on the way. The Under is seeing 59% of tickets/52% of money.
