Utah vs. Oklahoma State Odds: Big 12 Battle in College Football Week 4 Lines

Utah vs. Oklahoma State Odds: Big 12 Battle in College Football Week 4 Lines

🚨UPDATE 3:15 P.M. ET SATURDAY: BetMGM has been all over the place with this line, thanks to the lack of clarity on Utes QB Cam Rising's status today. Reports are that Rising is a game-time decision.

So, forty-five minutes pre-kick, the Cowboys sit at -1 (-105) in Utah vs. Oklahoma State odds. That's after a wild week in which the Cowboys opened -2.5 (-115) and got to -3 quickly, then the line sprinted to Utah -2.5 by Monday night.

But the number flipped again, getting to Oklahoma State -2.5 by Wednesday night. And since then, it's slowly crept to the current Cowboys -1 (-105). It's two-way play on the spread and moneyline for straight bets at BetMGM. But the book has a rooting interest.

"Oklahoma State outright is the need for us," BetMGM trading manager Seamus Magee said.

BetMGM's total climbed from 51.5 to 54.5 by Tuesday, backed up to 52.5 by Wednesday, then went to 53.5 (Over -115) Friday. That's where it sits now, and in digital wagering (online/mobile), it's 2/1 tickets and money on the Over.

🚨UPDATE 4 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This line has been volatile all week, due to no one really knowing whether Utes QB Cam Rising will start. At Fanatics Sportsbook, the host Cowboys opened -2 in Utah vs. Oklahoma State odds.

But the line swung as far as Utes -2.5 earlier in the week, when it seemed certain Rising would start. Then the line jumped the fence again and got as far as Cowboys -3. It's now ostensibly a pick 'em, with Fanatics at Oklahoma State -0.5.

"It's trying to find a home around the 1 range," Fanatics college football trader Ty Gour said. "The action is telling a similar story. The moneyline is a 50/50 split almost to the dollar. On the spread, we saw a lot of action on Utah at +3."

The total opened at 52.5 and is up to 53.5.

UTAH @ OKST Odds

Utah (3-0 SU/1-2 ATS) has been double-digit chalk in all three games so far, failing to cover in the last two. In Week 3 at Utah State, the Utes were without quarterback Cameron Rising (finger). Utah was still a 19.5-point favorite, but actually dug itself into a 14-3 first-half hole.

However, the Utes scored the next 25 points en route to a 38-21 victory.

Like Utah, Oklahoma State (3-0 SU/2-1 ATS) has also been a double-digit favorite in each of its first three games. So this week is a change of pace. The Cowboys drilled Tulsa 45-10 giving 17.5 points on the road in Week 3.

Earlier this week, it appeared Rising would play Saturday. But this line has bounced all over the place without firm clarity on Rising's status.

At TwinSpires Sportsbook, the Cowboys opened -3 in Utah vs. Oklahoma State odds. But the line sped to pick and ultimately got to Utah -2. However, the line has since flipped back to Oklahoma State -2.5.

"Early sharp buy on Utah evaporated quickly, and it's been Oklahoma State money ever since," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said Thursday.

The Cowboys are taking 53% of spread tickets/66% of spread money.

The total opened at 51.5, peaked at 54.5 and is now 52.5, with 70% of tickets/63% of money on the Over.
