Masters odds for the 2025 tournament went haywire throughout Sunday's final round. Rory McIlroy was the map through.
After blowing a four-stroke lead on the back nine, McIlroy ultimately got pulled into a sudden-death playoff with Justin Rose. But Rory finally got it done with a birdie on the first hole.

Wild Finish In The Making
UPDATE 7:25 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Rory McIlroy was the -135 favorite at The SuperBook to win the sudden-death playoff vs. Justin Rose (+125). Both played the 18th hole well, but Rory knocked his approach to 3 feet and won on a birdie putt.
With the win, McIlroy completed the career Grand Slam and ended an 11-year majors drought.
UPDATE 6:55 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Unbelievably, Rory McIlroy missed a 4-foot par putt to win it on 18. So we're going to a playoff at Augusta, between McIlroy and Justin Rose.
Both players finished at 11-under 277. The SuperBook made McIlroy a -130 favorite in Masters odds, with Rose a +120 underdog. Before the two reached the 18th tee box to go head-to-head, the odds moved to McIlroy -140/Rose +130.
UPDATE 6:33 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Rory McIlroy made birdie on 17 to get back to 12 under after a very up-and-down day. He's one stroke ahead of Justin Rose, who's in the clubhouse at 11-under 277.
So The SuperBook has McIlroy a hefty -800 chalk to do no damage on 18 and don the green jacket. Rose is +550.
UPDATE 6:15 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Rory McIlroy stemmed the bleeding with a birdie on 15 that probably should've been an eagle. Still, it got McIlroy to 11 under overall.
But Justin Rose then birdied the 18th to get in the clubhouse at 11 under. So there's certainly pressure on Rory.
Since McIlroy has opportunities ahead, The SuperBook has him as the -155 favorite in Masters odds. Rose is the +135 second choice. No one else is on the board.
UPDATE 6 P.M. ET SUNDAY: In a topsy-turvy final round, Rory McIlroy took command for several holes, getting to 14 under and taking a four shot lead. But he's completely fallen apart, with a bogey on 11, double bogey on 13 and bogey on 14.
McIlroy is still the +125 favorite in The SuperBook's Masters odds. But at 10 under for the tournament, he's tied with red-hot Justin Rose. And Rose actually had a 1 shot lead by getting to 11 under (6 under for the day), but bogeyed No. 17.
So now, it's a three-way tie for first between McIlroy, Rose and Ludvig Aberg. McIlroy is the -110 favorite in The SuperBook's Masters odds, Aberg is +175 and Rose +350.
Bryson DeChambeau is 3 over in Round 4, through 14 holes, dropping from 10 under to 7 under and pretty much out of contention. He's now off the board at The SuperBook.

Big Names
UPDATE 8:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: Heading into the second round, Rory McIlroy was at even par eight shots off the lead. McIlroy slipped from the +650 pre-tourney second choice to the +1400 fifth choice.
Through nine holes Friday, he was only 1 under par. Then Rory teed off, shooting 5 under on the back nine, with three birdies and an eagle en route to a 66. At 6-under 138, he's right back in it, tied for third just two shots off Justin Rose's lead.
In fact, he's now the favorite. The SuperBook has McIlroy atop 2025 Masters odds at +325, followed by Bryson DeChambeau at +375, then Scottie Scheffler at +400. DeChambeau shot 4-under 68 and is solo second at 7-under 137, while Scheffler is tied for fifth at 139.
"Rory is a modest winner for the book, as he was No. 1 in ticket count," SuperBook vice president of risk Jeff Sherman said. "DeChambeau is a small winner for the book, as he was also up there in ticket count. We received steady action on him over several months."
Scheffler, seeking his third green jacket in four years, could've been in much worse shape after finding plenty of trouble on the back nine. He bogeyed 10 and 11, then hit an errant tee shot on the par-3 12th that easily could've left him in a bad spot.
He got a good bounce, but was still in the rough, so par could've been an issue. But Scheffler just chipped in for birdie. Then, after hitting into the water on the par-5 13th, he still managed to save par. Birdies on 14 and 17 were offset by bogeys on 16 and 18.
Yet he's in a great spot for Moving Day.
"I'm not surprised at Scheffler's position. It's a microcosm of his season so far," Sherman said. "We're still a small winner on Scheffler at this point."
Rose And The Rest

UPDATE 8:30 P.M. ET FRIDAY: After a sizzling 7-under 65 Thursday, Justin Rose shot a steady 1-under 71 Friday. That was enough to stay in front, though his three-stroke Thursday night lead is now down to one shot.
Rose is at 8-under 136, but he's the +750 fourth choice in The SuperBook's odds to win the Masters.
Corey Conners followed his opening 68 with a 70 and is tied for third at 138. Joining Scheffler at 139 were Shane Lowry (68), Matt McCarty (68) and Tyrrell Hatton (70). Conners is +1200, followed by Lowry (+1600) and Hatton (+2000). McCarty is still a distant +10000 (100/1).
"We are a very small winner to Rose at this point," Sherman said. "Conners is one of the better results for the book, as is McCarty, who closed 600/1 and received minimal support."
The same can't be said of another long shot, Rasmus Hojgaard, who surged with a 5-under 67 for a 4-under 140 total. Hojgaard is tied for ninth, and Sherman would prefer the Dane not climb any higher.
"Hojgaard is our biggest liability at this point. We had a customer put $500 on him at 300/1 in October," Sherman said.
That's a fast way to create $150,000 in liability, on just one bet. Pre-tournament, Hojgaard was 250/1, and after a first-round 73, he was an even longer shot at 500/1. Heading to Saturday, he's +7000.
Spieth Survives
In Masters prop bets, Sherman noted one that got particularly interesting Friday.
"We had some good action on the make/miss cut props," he said. "Jordan Spieth came down to the final hole, where he made the cut on the number. We had some miss-the-cut sharp support on Spieth."
That sharp support was nearly rewarded. Spieth had four bogeys on the back nine, including on 18. A birdie on the par-4 17th saved his bacon for the weekend.
But the 2015 Masters winner isn't expected to make much noise over the weekend, sitting 10 shots off the lead. The SuperBook has him at 1000/1.
Coming Up Roses
UPDATE 8:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Rose had a dominant first round, shooting 7-under 65, which could've been a 64 if he hadn't bogeyed No. 18. He's got a three-stroke lead over Scheffler, Aberg and Conners.
"I'm surprised at the stroke differential between Rose and the others. It's impressive," SuperBook vice president of risk Jeff Sherman said. "Rose is a small winner for the book, based on pre-tournament odds. But there's still much to shake out, with updated odds and in-play to come."
Prior to Round 1, The SuperBook closed Rose as a 125/1 long shot (+12500) in odds to win the Masters. Tonight, the Englishman is the +700 third choice, a huge leap.
One SuperBook customer has $200 on Rose +12500, on a wager made at the end of March. If Rose keeps this up for three more days, that bettor is looking at $25,000 in profit. But mind you, it's a long three days.
Rose has now held or shared the first-round lead at the Masters five times. Sherman had Rose +6000 to lead after Round 1.
"I had it shorter than other places, so we did well with it. We had three tickets on Rose at 60/1," he said.
Scheffler and the Rest
UPDATE 8:30 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Scheffler was the +450 favorite before the first tee shot this morning. After a 4-under 68, he's now at a tidy +200, with oddsmakers still expecting Scheffler to go back-to-back.
Aberg, the runner-up at Augusta last year, also shot 4-under 68, including a three-birdies-in-four-holes stretch from Nos. 12-15. Aberg is the +650 second choice in The SuperBook's Masters odds.
Conners shot 68, as well, and is now +1600 to don the green jacket, after closing +5000 pre-tourney.
DeChambeau got to 4 under through 17 holes, but bogeyed 18 to finish at 69, tied with Tyrrell Hatton. DeChambeau was +1600 pre-Round 1 and is now the +800 fourth choice in Masters futures odds. Hatton can still be had for +2500, after closing a healthy +9000 pre-tourney.
"We are a small winner on Scheffler at this point," Sherman said. "Conners and Hatton would be our best outcomes. Aberg and DeChambeau would be modest winners.
"Collin Morikawa is the only one who we have notable liability on at this point."
Morikawa made eagle on the par-5 13th to get to 3 under. However, he bogeyed 15, 17 and 18 to finish with an even-par 72. Morikawa was +1200 pre-tourney, but he's now out to +3000.
Mimicking Morikawa, Rory McIlroy also had a late-round implosion. After closing as the +650 second choice, McIlroy was cruising through 14 holes, at 4 under. But he double-bogeyed 15 and 17 to finish the round at even par.
Still, he's the +1400 fifth choice in The SuperBook's 2025 Masters futures odds.
Clear-Cut Top Two

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET WEDNESDAY: With about 18 hours until the first tee shot sails into the Augusta morning, Scottie Scheffler is the +450 favorite in BetMGM's Masters odds. Last April, after Scheffler won his second green jacket, he opened as +500 chalk.
However, Scheffler hasn't yet won a tournament this year. Heading into the 2024 Masters, he had back-to-back wins in the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship, followed by a tie for second in the Houston Open.
"Despite a down year by his own standards, Scheffler is the clear favorite this weekend in Augusta," BetMGM senior trader Matt Wall said. "But bettors are finding value elsewhere. Rory [McIlroy], Ludvig Aberg and Bryson [DeChambeau] are the worst results for the book."
McIlroy has cut his opening odds almost in half at BetMGM, moving from +1200 to the +650 second choice. Aberg, the 2024 Masters runner-up, is the +2000 sixth choice, just behind DeChambeau (+1600).
McIlroy leads in both tickets and money to win the Masters.
UPDATE 10 P.M. ET THURSDAY, APRIL 3: Scottie Scheffler rolled early and late last year at Augusta National. The world No. 1 opened with a 6-under 66, which actually put him in second, a stroke behind Bryson DeChambeau.
Then Scheffler finished with a 4-under 67. In between, he shot steady rounds of even-par 72 and 1-under 71. Scheffler finished at 11-under 277, four shots ahead of second-place Ludvig Aberg.
Pre-2024 Masters, Scheffler was in the +450 range to win, with no one else shorter than +1000. In The SuperBook's 2025 Masters odds, Scheffler is again +450, but Rory McIlroy is close behind at +650. After Scheffler and McIlroy, no other player is shorter than +1400.
"Rory has definitely closed the gap between him and Scottie," said Jeff Sherman, The SuperBook's vice president of risk and longtime golf oddsmaker. "Scottie had a relatively slow start to his season, coming off his hand injury. Rory compiled two wins in top-tier events."
Indeed. McIlroy won at Pebble Beach in February, then took The Players Championship in mid-March. In five PGA Tour events this season, McIlroy has those two titles and three more top-20 finishes.
Scheffler has played in six tournaments, with top-25 finishes in all of them, but no wins yet. He just tied for second in the Houston Open, missing a playoff by one stroke after a final-round 63. And he opened the tourney with an even more blistering 62.
"Scottie's Masters odds have held steady for a few months, fluctuating between 4/1 and 5/1, while Rory has dipped down from 10/1 to the current +650," Sherman said. "We took a decent size wager on Scottie at +450, thus there has been more money wagered on Scottie than Rory.
"Although from a ticket-count perspective, Rory has more than double the tickets of Scottie."
In fact, Scheffler is ninth in ticket count, with a host of players drawing more bets at the moment in Masters 2025 odds.
The Next Tier

UPDATE 10 P.M. ET THURSDAY, APRIL 3: Weighing in as the co-third choice are Aberg and Collin Morikawa at +1400. As noted above, Aberg was the 2024 runner-up. Morikawa finished in a three-way tie for third with Tommy Fleetwood and Max Homa.
"There has been recent sharp play on Morikawa at 16/1, causing an adjustment to 14/1," Sherman said. "Aberg is a severe threat to those top two. His major debut was at the Masters last year, where he was in contention with an opportunity to win on Sunday."
Early bettors have taken note, with the 25-year-old Swede trailing only McIlroy in ticket count.
"After McIlroy, the next-most-popular are Aberg, Bryson DeChambeau and Morikawa," Sherman said.
DeChambeau is the +1800 co-fifth choice in The SuperBook's 2025 Masters odds, joined by 2023 Masters champ Jon Rahm. Then comes Xander Schauffele (+2000), who got his first two majors last year, winning the PGA Championship and British Open.
"We're currently rooting for Rahm and Schauffele. They are two of the book's better positions," Sherman said. "We have liability on Scheffler, Morikawa and Jordan Spieth, near the top of the odds board.
"Of course, we had liability on Tiger Woods. But those that wagered on him will be refunded at the conclusion of the tournament."
Woods, the five-time Masters winner, ruptured an Achilles in March and is out for the foreseeable future. Spieth (+2500) won the Masters in 2015, then followed by winning the 2015 U.S. Open. But he's only got one major title since then, the 2017 British Open.
Under The Radar

UPDATE 10 P.M. ET THURSDAY, APRIL 3: Sherman pointed to a couple of dark horses who might be worth a shot, a little further down the 2025 Masters odds board.
"Popular longer shots getting support include Akshay Bhatia and Sepp Straka, both currently at 60/1," Sherman said. "They're backing Bhatia for his recent form, and Straka has seen consistent support due to his fit at Augusta."
Bhatia has three top-10s in nine events this season, most recently tying for third in The Players Championship. Along with Augusta National seeming to fit Straka's game, the Austrian is also playing well of late, winning the American Express and tying for fifth in the Arnold Palmer Invitational.
"I have Bhatia in my portfolio, along with Justin Thomas, Joaquin Niemann, Viktor Hovland, Thomas Detry and Rasmus Hojgaard, albeit at longer odds than current prices," Sherman said.
