Byron Buxton to Hit a Home Run (+310 | bet365) vs. (SP: Nestor Cortes)
Let’s go to Target Field and pinpoint one of the lone remaining Twins, Byron Buxton.
After the team had a fire sale of their best players this past trade deadline, Byron Buxton elected to enact his no-trade clause to stay in Minnesota. Although the Twins are out of the playoff hunt, Buxton is turning in one of his best years in his age-31 season.
He gets a great matchup against lefty Nestor Cortes, who has been prone to allowing the long ball over the years. Cortes has allowed four home runs in four starts since joining San Diego at the trade deadline.
This has been a constant over the years, but especially true this year: Buxton is one of the league’s best against southpaws. He has a ridiculous 175 wRC+ with a .679 SLG, 1.053 OPS, and eight home runs in just 78 at-bats.
Bet365 Sportsbook’s +310 number is a great value.

Cody Bellinger to Hit a Home Run (+540 | FanDuel) vs. (SP: Yoendrys Gomez)
For our final pick, we’ll go to one of the hottest hitters in baseball, Cody Bellinger.
Belly has been a nice addition for the Bronx Bombers with 26 long balls. He’ll draw Yoendrys Gomez, who the White Sox are attempting to stretch out from the bullpen. Gomez has been susceptible to hard contact (12.1 Barrel%), but even with the short leash, Bellinger has been even better in his reverse split against lefties, so he is a non-pinch hit threat.
With home runs in his last two and six home runs throughout August, the +540 number at FanDuel Sportsbook is too good to pass up.
