Hunter Goodman to Hit a Home Run (+400 | FanDuel) vs. (SP: Zac Gallen)
We were able to cash on a Hunter Goodman pick last week and we’ll try to do the same here. He has a juicy matchup against Zac Gallen. The 2023 All-Star has had a brutal season to date. According to Baseball Savant, Gallen is in the 23rd percentile or lower in xBA, xERA, Barrel%, and Hard Hit%.
Goodman has been a lone bright spot in an otherwise miserable season for Rockies fans. Goodman is a non-pinch hit threat as he’s mashed against both righties and lefties. Furthermore, Goodman is the rare case of performing better against the same side with a .543 SLG and 131 wRC+ against right-handers.
The way Goodman has been hitting the ball combined with Gallen’s form, +400 is a great value at FanDuel Sportsbook.
Rafael Devers to Hit a Home Run (+375 | bet365) vs. (SP: Jake Irvin)
Although Rafael Devers hasn’t been the acquisition the Giants were hoping for, the analytical profile under the surface would say he’s due for some regression.
Despite hitting just three home runs in his past 30 games, Devers is still slugging .470 and has a 141 wRC+ against right-handers.
Tonight presents the perfect opportunity for Devers to go yard as Jake Irvin has relinquished the third most homers in baseball (24).
Jesus Sanchez to Hit a Home Run (+450 | BetMGM) vs. (SP: Cam Schlittler)
Lastly, we have Jesus Sanchez of the Houston Astros.
Sanchez has been a solid addition to a right-handed dominant lineup without Yordan Alvarez. Sanchez has proven to be a steady power hitter against righties and he has a great spot tonight against Yankees prospect Cam Schlittler.
The Northeastern product has flashed high-end velocity, but that usually coincides with struggling to limit the long ball and that’s been the case here. Schlittler is allowing a staggering 2.29 HR/9. BetMGM Sportsbook is currently hanging +450 odds.
