See All

Bobby Witt Jr. to Hit a Home Run (+325 | bet365) vs. (SP: Shane Baz)

For our first pick, we’re going with one of the game’s best young hitters in Bobby Witt Jr.

Witt has not achieved the same level of production as he did a year ago, but his underlying statistics suggest he may be due for some positive regression. Despite a meager .282 BA and .822 OPS (for his standards), Witt ranks in the 87th percentile or higher in xSLG, xwOBA, and average EV.

In addition, Witt has shown much more power against right-handers, with all ten home runs coming against the same side.

He’ll take on Shane Baz, who has flashed high-end stuff with a great fastball but has lacked the consistency to really break through. Baz is currently allowing 1.71 HR/9 against right-handers, relinquishing 14 dingers on the year.

Jordan Beck to Hit a Home Run (+500 | FanDuel) vs. (SP: Clayton Kershaw)

I’m sure many bettors will be on Dodgers’ hitters against Austin Gomber. Although Gomber has generally been putrid, due in part to his low velocity, he’s been borderline elite in terms of limiting hard contact.

So, instead, we’re going to target a Rockies’ hitter at Coors Field against a future first-ballot Hall of Famer, Clayton Kershaw.

Kershaw is notably just eight strikeouts away from 3,000, an incredible accomplishment. However, Dodgers fans know that there hasn’t been much else to cheer on for Kershaw in his 2025 campaign, as he ranks in the very first percentile in average EV and hard-hit percentage.

Jordan Beck has been great against southpaws, hitting four homers in just 66 at-bats. Moreover, he has a .919 OPS and 140 wrC+ against the same side.

With all of these considerations, the +500 number is just too good to pass up.
