Rockies vs Dodgers in Coors field is always going to be a great target for offense. The Dodgers are coming off of a dramatic series against the Braves that ended in extra innings last night, opening up the door for a letdown spot against the Rockies tonight. Rockies are the best hitting team against left handed pitching this season, and I’m going to be targeting Connor Joe in this matchup. Connor Joe is coming into this game with 1+ Hit in 7/L9 games with 2+ hits in six of those games. Joe is having his best month of the season in June thus far, and is batting .366 over his L15 games. Finally, he’s Batting .325 vs LHP this season, good spot for the Rockies lead-off hitter.
Andrew Vaughn has been a consistent target for me this season, and I’m loving the matchup against Noah Syndergaard. Vaughn is coming into this game with 3-straight hit-less games, but is still hitting .344 in the month of June. On the season, Vaughn is 13th in the MLB in batting average currently at .316 (which improves to .392 on the road). This biggest appeal is his strength against Noah’s top three pitches, which are Sinker, Changeup, and 4 Seamer. Vaughn is currently hitting .483 vs Sinker, .333 vs Changeup, and .277 vs 4 Seamer, great numbers for the young hitter. Getting both of these two guys at + money is a great spot.
