Paul Goldschmidt (STL) To Hit a Double (+260)

While I’m normally committed to the total bases/hit parlay markets, I’m going to take a shot and sprinkle on some longer odds today. With so many markets available, getting + money on Goldschmidt to record a double & home run possesses some value today, as opposed to the very juiced (-150) over 1.5 total bases. Paul Goldschmidt is currently the MLB NL MVP front runner and while his recent form hasn't been as amazing, I’m trusting him to get the job done in a great matchup.

Paul Goldschmidt (STL) To Hit a Homerun (+275)

Goldschmidt has a long and successful history vs Rockies starter German Marquez, who has struggled this season. Like most Rockies pitchers, Marquez’s ERA goes from 4.07 on the road to 6.11 at home. He’s allowed 84 Hits (14/20 HR’s) in 66 IP at Coors Field this season, and conditions are looking ripe for another rocky outing. Goldy is 13-34 vs Marquez with 4 HR’s and 2 Doubles, the only downside is the 5 walks. The good news around the walks is that Nolan Arenado is easily the Cardinals hottest hitter right now, torching the Rockies in each of the first two games, I don't think they are going to be very eager to pitch to him. He’s slashing .320/.471/.640 so far in august with 4 XBH, let's build on that today in a great spot.
