The top-seeded Cleveland Cavaliers are slated to face-off against the Indiana Pacers. These two Midwest teams are scheduled to face each other twice in the final week of the NBA regular season.

For the 1st matchup, it will take place on TNT at 7:30 PM ET. With just a few games to go, the Cavaliers have already locked up the top seed in the Eastern Conference and are resting their top players.

As Cleveland eyes a deep postseason run, where they will look to break through and potentially make the Finals for the first time since LeBron James departed for the Los Angeles Lakers, the Pacers still have plenty to play for, as they are just 2.0 games behind the New York Knicks for the 3-seed in the Eastern Conference.

CLE @ IND Odds

This will be the third matchup of the year between these two as these teams split the first two games. It’ll be their first matchup in nearly three months.

Both Cleveland and Indiana are playing great basketball at the right time as the Cavs have won seven of their last nine, while the Pacers are in the midst of a five-game winning streak.

However, as we stated above, the Cavaliers will resort to their reserves for tonight’s showdown.

Instead of looking at the Pacers on the spread, where the number is all the way up to 9, let’s look towards a sneaky high-scoring affair.

The Cavaliers will lean heavily on DeAndre Hunter and Ty Jerome, who have led arguably the best bench unit in the NBA. Despite Cleveland being undermanned, there is still plenty of depth here to keep this one competitive throughout.

On the other end, the Pacers will be plenty motivated to win this one. During their five-game winning streak, Indiana has eclipsed 119+ points in three of those contests. Indiana ranks 8th in offensive efficiency as Tyrese Haliburton has posted an absurd 52 assists to just 9 turnovers during their win streak.

Indiana and Cleveland are 8th and 11th in terms of pace, respectively - expect plenty of points in this one.
