Curry vs Ionescu Odds | 3-Point Contest All-Star Weekend

NBA All-Star Weekend hits its stride on Saturday as the best-of-the-best in the league so far this year take part in some of our favorite midseason competitions including the Dunk Contest, Skills Challenge and 3-Point Contest.
This time around, however, the 3-Point Contest has an additional 1-on-1 side battle. For the first time ever, it will be NBA vs WNBA on All-Star Saturday as Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors takes on Sabrina Ionescu of the New York Liberty in a long range shootout.
Let’s dive into the Curry vs Ionesu odds, as well as some of the other attractive markets heading into All-Star Weekend.

Curry vs Ionescu 3-Point Contest Odds
- Steph Curry (-265)
- Sabrina Ionescu (+200)
Ionescu led the entire WNBA in made 3-pointers per game this past season (3.6), and in the midseason 3-Point Contest, she scored 37 of 40 possible points on the way to breaking the NBA / WNBA record in the competition – which was previously set by Curry (31), who still holds the all-time NBA record.
The rules will be the same as the NBA 3-Point Contest. So this time around, it will be a little bit more difficult for Ionescu shoots from a slightly longer distance.
With that in mind, the best betting value in this 1-on-1 matchup appears to lie with Ionescu. Ionescu already holds the all-time record in this event, and she’s listed as a heavy underdog in a head-to-head battle against somebody who’s never come close to matching the score she posted less than a year ago.
But also keep in mind that Curry is still the best 3-point shooter of all time – NBA or WNBA – so I wouldn’t exactly recommend betting the house against him either.
All-Star Game MVP Odds
It’s usually tough to find value in the betting market on All-Star Weekend given the overall intensity level on-display in most events. However, one market that tends to provide a decent amount of upside is the All-Star Game MVP odds.
- Giannis Antetokounmpo +500
- LeBron James +550
- Jayson Tatum +600
- Kevin Durant +800
- Shai Gilgeous-Alexander +900
- Damian Lillard +900
- Devin Booker +1000
- Tyrese Haliburton +1000
- Anthony Edwards +1200
- Steph Curry +1200
- Luka Doncic +1400
In the grand scheme of things, nobody really cares who wins the All-Star Game – including the wide majority of the players participating in the event. So why waste money betting the spread set for a team that doesn’t even care if they win?
It seems like every year though, somebody always catches fire and decides to take over the All-Star Game with sheer will-power – and you can bet on any player you want to win MVP of the All-Star Game at +500 or better at most shops.
It’s all fun and games. The stakes are incredibly low. My best advice is to bet the plus-money numbers and hope that an underdog comes through for you.
