The last five weeks have been a rough stretch for the Brooklyn Nets, who have lost 15 of their last 19 games. Perhaps the roughest loss came in Sunday's 125-114 setback to the Clippers as 10-point road underdogs.

Brooklyn led Los Angeles, 101-84 entering the fourth quarter and held an 11-point advantage with 5:30 left. The Clippers outscored the Nets, 22-0 down the stretch as L.A. picked up the miracle cover to send Brooklyn to its fifth loss in the last six games.

The Nets return home from their three-game road trip to host the Knicks at Barclays Center tonight.

The Knicks have been rolling in 2024 by winning seven of nine games this month, including three straight contests. New York pulled away from Toronto on Saturday, 126-100 at Madison Square Garden as Jalen Brunson paced the Knicks with 38 points.

The Knicks have played better on the road of late by winning three of the past four away from the Garden since a three-game away slide to close out December.

The Nets are looking to avenge a 121-102 home defeat to the Knicks on December 20 as Brooklyn was limited to 37% shooting from the floor.

Los Angeles Lakers at Los Angeles Clippers

The battle of Los Angeles tonight loses a bit of luster as Lakers' star LeBron James will sit out due to an ankle injury.

The Clippers look to beat the Lakers for the first time in three tries this season after winning the previous 11 matchups.

The two wins by the Lakers this season over the Clippers came by a combined eight points, as James scored a combined 60 points in those victories.

In four games without James in the lineup this season, the Lakers are 2-2 SU/ATS, but covered as 8.5-point road underdogs in a 118-111 loss at Minnesota.

Granted, the Lakers aren't traveling in this situation with the Clippers as the home team at Crypto.com Arena. However, the Clippers have won seven straight home games since getting routed by the Celtics on December 23.

The Clips are riding a 10-2 hot stretch the last 12 games, while topping the 125-point mark in each of their past five victories.
