NBA playoff odds for the first round are starting to populate. Four matchups are already set and four more to come via the play-in round.

UPDATE 11:30 A.M. ET TUESDAY: Indiana (50-32 SU/36-45-1 ATS) finished the regular season on a 13-3 SU roll (6-10 ATS), including 7-1 SU in its last eight games. That helped the Pacers secure the No. 4 seed in the East.
Milwaukee (48-34 SU/43-37-2 ATS) also had a big season-ending run, going 8-0 SU/7-1 ATS in its last eight outings. So the Bucks landed the No. 5 seed.
The Pacers and Bucks, Central Division rivals, met four times in the regular season. Milwaukee went 3-1 SU/4-0 ATS.
On Saturday, DraftKings Sportsbook opened Game 1 at Pacers -4.5 in NBA playoff odds. The line went to Indy -5 early today. Early spread tickets are almost 2/1 on the Bucks, but early spread money is 2.5/1 on the Pacers.
The total opened at 225.5, peaked at 226.5 a couple times and hit a low of 224.5 earlier today. It's now 225, with tickets almost 4/1 on the Over, but money running dead even.

UPDATE NOON ET TUESDAY: New York (51-31 SU/40-41-1 ATS) edged Indiana by a game for the East's No. 3 seed. To do so, the Knicks needed had to beat Brooklyn 113-105 as 5-point road favorites in Sunday's regular-season finale. That ended a three-game SU hiccup.
Detroit (44-38 SU/42-38-2 ATS) enters the postseason on a 2-6 SU and ATS slide. That included back-to-back losses to Milwaukee in a home-and-home to end the regular season.
But the Pistons went 3-1 SU and ATS against the Knicks in the regular season, winning and cashing both games in New York.
For Game 1, DraftKings opened the Knicks -7 in NBA First Round playoff odds. New York remains -7 today, with Detroit seeing 63% of early spread bets/77% of early spread money.
The total opened at 220.5 Saturday, went to 220 Sunday and is now 219.5. That said, tickets and money are in the 3/1 range on the Over so far.

UPDATE 11:30 A.M. ET TUESDAY: Denver (50-32 SU/38-43-1 ATS) fired coach Michael Malone on April 8. But the Nuggets held it together enough to get the West's No. 4 seed, when they could've dropped into the play-in round.
Denver won and cashed its last three games to actually tie the Lakers for third in the West. But the Lakers won the tiebreaker.
The L.A. Clippers (50-32 SU/46-35-1 ATS) have been rolling since March 5. Los Angeles went 18-3 SU over its last 21 games (15-6 ATS), tying the Nuggets and Lakers for third. But the Clips lost both tiebreakers and settled for the No. 5 seed.
L.A. enters Game 1 on an eight-game win streak. That includes a 124-119 overtime victory as 3.5-point underdogs at Golden State in Sunday's season finale.
DraftKings opened the Nuggets -3.5 Sunday night and is now at -3. Spread bets are running almost even, while 65% of early spread money is on the Clippers.
The total opened at 223.5, peaked at 225 Tuesday and is now 224.5. It's all Over in the early going, at 82% of bets/97% of money.
L.A. and Denver split their four regular-season meetings, SU and ATS.

No. 6 seed Minnesota (49-33 SU/39-42-1 ATS) went 8-1 SU in its last nine games. The Timberwolves and Lakers split four regular-season meetings, with the home team going 4-0 SU and ATS.
For Game 1, DraftKings Sportsbook opened the Lakers -4.5 in NBA playoff odds. L.A. moved to -5 on Monday morning. The Lakers are seeing 57% of early spread bets/63% of early spread money.
The total opened at 219 Sunday night and steadily made its way down to the current 215.5. But the splits don't tell that tale, with 84% of bets/73% of cash on the Over so far.
