Marcus Smart (BOS) Over 0.5 Steals + Over 0.5 Assists 1Q + Jaylen Brown (BOS) Over 0.5 Rebounds 1Q (-105)

I’m very surprised we are still getting a solid number here after game 1, especially considering 1+ 1Q assist was close to -1000 during the regular season. Smart has 1+ 1Q assist in 10 straight games, and 15 of 16 total playoff games so far. While he had some injury concerns limiting his minutes, he was still able to cash this number playing only around 7-8 minutes. With additional time to be healthy, I expect him to play much closer to his normal 10-12 minute workload. In game 1, he played 9 minutes and recorded an assist despite Jayson Tatum recording 3 early assists in 6 minutes. Timelord back in the lineup should also create additional opportunities, especially considering he may not make it out of the first quarter.

Smart steal has also been an extremely consistent parlay piece. Marcus Smart has a great history against Curry, in his career, he has 1+ steal in 10 of 11 games facing Curry, including 4/4 since 2021. Smart is averaging 1.1 SPG this postseason and has averaged over 1+ steal per game in the playoffs dating back to 2016. He faced some injuries during the Heat series, but considering the fact that his minutes are back to normal, I’m not very concerned. He cashed this in the first half in game 1, expecting Smart to continue to play aggressive defense here in game 2.

Jaylen Brown 1+ 1Q rebound has been another dependable play. Brown is averaging 1.5 1Q rebounds in his playoff career, and 1.7 this postseason (averaging 10 minutes). Brown recorded 2 1Q rebounds in game 1, and has 1+ in 16 of 19 playoff games. After not recording a 1Q rebound in his first two games, he’s been extremely consistent and I expect that to continue today.
