NBA Player Props for Wednesday, June 8
Prop betting expert Stuart Durst gives his top prop bets to consider for NBA Playoffs action on Wednesday, June 8. Check out his top play for the hardwood action below.
- Marcus Smart (BOS) Over 0.5 Steals + Steph Curry (GSW) Over 0.5 Steals (-125) at DraftKings
- Kevon Looney (GSW) Over 1.5 Points 1Q + Steph Curry (GSW) Over 0.5 Steals (-105) at DraftKings
Marcus Smart (BOS) Over 0.5 Steals + Steph Curry (GSW) Over 0.5 Steals (-125)
Marcus Smart has consistently cashed his steal prop vs Stephen Curry. In his career, he has 1+ steal in 11 of 12 games facing Curry, including 5/5 since 2021. Smart is averaging 1.1 SPG this postseason and has averaged over 1+ steal per game in the playoffs dating back to 2016. He faced some injuries during the Heat series, but looks back to full strength and should see a full workload without a blowout. This is really simple, Smart has consistently cashed this prop throughout both this season and his career, this is gonna hit more than it wont. Getting back to home court should also help him avoid foul trouble.
Curry has been an absolute steal machine in this series, recording 3 steals in each of the first two games. He’s averaging 1.3 steals this postseason, with 1+ in 13 of 18 playoff games. Curry will likely see 35-40 minutes in a competitive game and should have ample opportunities to cash this ticket.
Kevon Looney (GSW) Over 1.5 Points 1Q + Steph Curry (GSW) Over 0.5 Steals (-105)
Kevon Looney 1st quarter points is one of my favorite parlay pieces for today's slate. Despite missing the points in game 1, Looney had a good bounceback last game scoring 6 first quarter points. Looney practically only takes high percentage shots, created by playing with the likes of Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, and Andrew Wiggins, this means it's very unlikely he does not convert on the opportunities he’s presented with. While I’ve normally parlayed this with 2+ 1Q rebounds, that only makes this -135 as opposed to -105. 2+ is another great parlay piece, and I even played 3+ 1Q Rebounds with 2+ 1Q points for +135. Curry has been one of the most consistent pieces, and having 3 in each of his first two games gives me confidence he keeps this streak going.
