There's several ways to bet on the NBA, and some of the most popular ones include taking a side, a full-game total, or a player prop. So, this is what we like to call our Daily Triple Threat. Our three best bets in the aforementioned categories for NBA matchups on Tuesday, March 21st. Best of luck!

Cleveland Cavaliers -3 (-110) @ BKN

The Nets have kept bettors honest by posting a handful of tough wins since the departures of Kyrie Irving and Kevin Durant, but for the most part, this Brooklyn’ squad has done nothing but struggle since the trade deadline, considering they’re just 7-12 in their last 19 games, and should be considered incredibly fortunate that they managed to escape with victories in matchups against the Rockets, Hornets, Bulls, and Wizards during that stretch.

While on the other hand, the Cavaliers don’t quite stack up against top shelf contenders in the East such as the Celtics and Bucks, but make no mistake about it, Cleveland has been one of the most consistent bunches in the league all year, and they tend to handle business whenever they are expected to do so.

It doesn’t always show up on the statsheet due to the fact that they play at the slowest pace in the entire league (95.6 PACE), but the Cavaliers rank Top 10 in both offensive and defensive rating (116 ORtg, 110.3 DRtg), and they’re now 7-3 in their last ten games, with their only losses during that span coming in unfavorable matchups against the Celtics, Heat, and Sixers.

So, I’ll back Cleveland to handle business on the road in Tuesday’s matchup against a Nets’ squad that’s posted losses in three straight games.

Pistons-Hawks Under 236 (-110)

For a while, a handful of teams spent time jockeying for the title of “worst team in basketball,” but at this point, I think it’s safe to say that Detroit has it in the bag. The Pistons are currently positioned dead-last in the Eastern Conference standings with a record of 18-54, which trails the Rockets and Spurs by roughly two games at the bottom of the league totem pole.

Detroit has certainly shown flashes of potential from time-to-time throughout the season, but don’t be fooled by the occasional glimpses of success, the Pistons rank Bottom 3 in the league in both offensive and defensive rating (110.9 ORtg, 118,5 DRtg), and their pace of play numbers have hit a steep decline as of late.

While on the contrary, the Hawks run at the ninth-fastest pace in the league, which tends to play into their strong suits, as Atlanta happens to rank Top 10 in offensive rating and Bottom 10 in defensive rating (115.8 ORtg, 116 DRtg). However, they’ve slowed things down as of late, highlighted by Atlanta falling short of the 120-point mark in five of their last ten games, and in order to clear the number set for this one, both teams are going to have to approach that number.

So, I’ll take the ‘under’ in Tuesday’s matchup against a Pistons’ squad that’s scored 109 points or less in 13 of their last 19 contests (105.8 PPG).

Trey Murphy (NOP) Over 3.5 Rebounds

The Pelicans are having an absolutely disastrous second half of the season, highlighted by New Orleans posting a miserable record of 8-20 across their last 28 contests, while ranking 24th in the league in net rating during that timeframe (-4.9 NetRtg).

However, in the midst of their downfall, Trey Murphy has continued to grow and develop as a formidable presence for this team, considering he’s averaging 15.8 PPG, 3.8 REB, and 1.6 AST since the end of January.

The best prop value on the board for him appears to be his rebounding number, though. Murphy enters Tuesday having secured 4+ rebounds in seven of his last nine outings, with four of those performances ringing in at 5+ rebounds.

So, I’ll back that trend to continue for him in tonight’s matchup against a Spurs’ squad that ranks 4th in pace and dead-last in defensive rating (109.9 DRtg, 101.7 PACE).
