Betting on the Milwaukee Bucks
There is plenty of interest in betting on the Milwaukee Bucks, and rightfully so. The 2021 NBA champs are almost always in the mix in the Eastern Conference.
Milwaukee Bucks Franchise History
Shortly after Milwaukee’s NBA introduction in the late ‘60s, the Bucks climbed to the league’s highest summit, capturing a championship in their third season.
The Bucks were able to skyrocket to the top of the NBA so quickly thanks in large part to drafting Lew Alcindor in 1969. After their 1971 NBA title, Alcindor changed his name to Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and went on to have one of the greatest careers in NBA history.
Alongside the young Alcindor was an older Oscar Robertson, whose arrival in Milwaukee in the 1971 season coincided with their first championship.
After the early ‘70s glory, Bucks fans enjoyed watching players like Marques Johnson, Sydney Moncrief, and Ray Allen.
Despite their successful runs, the Bucks had not appeared in the NBA Finals since 1974 until they won their second ever championship in 2021.
Giannis Antetokounmpo, The Greek Freak, has brought new life to a city that was desperate to get back to championship basketball for so long.
🦌 Betting on the Milwaukee Bucks in Wisconsin 🦌
Sports bettors in Wisconsin aren’t able to wager online with major sportsbooks such as FanDuel and DraftKings just yet. In fact, there is currently only one location in which bettors can legally place bets.
The Oneida Casino accepted the first legal, Wisconsin sports wagers in late-2021. The casino also has a website on which customers can place bets only if they are on the casino’s property.
Online sports betting is still illegal in the state. While you can bet on the Bucks' games at this casino, it remains the only legal option in Wisconsin.
After the Oneida Casino took its first bets, a second tribe, the St. Croix Chippewa, was granted the ability to offer sports betting at their casinos.
The hope for pro-legal-betting Wisconsinites is that this will lead to widespread sports betting legalization, at least in tribal casinos.
It is not uncommon for a state to begin its sports betting legalization process by first granting access to casinos.
Until the Badger State expands its offering, Wisconsin bettors will have to choose from a select-few casinos if they want to place a wager on their beloved Bucks.
A common way to get in on the action with the Milwaukee Bucks is a point spread bet. Let’s use this hypothetical Bucks-Sixers game as an example.
- Bucks -4.5
- Sixers +4.5
Here, the Bucks are favored over the Sixers.
A bettor backing the Bucks needs them to beat the Sixers by at least 5 points. If the Bucks win by less than 5, or if they lose outright, the bettor loses.
Since online sports betting is not legal in Wisconsin, people can instead use fun DFS apps or social sportsbooks. Here are some of our favorite ones to have fun with the Bucks:

- PrizePicks Promo Code
- Fliff Promo Code
- Thrillzz Promo Code
- Boom Fantasy Bonus Code

Milwaukee Bucks Partnership with Betway
In early 2022, the Bucks and Betway announced a multi-year partnership. As part of the deal, Betway will receive branding both at Fiserv Forum and on the Bucks' social media channels.
