Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Bills -2.5 (-120)
  • Opening moneyline: Bills -145/Chiefs +125
  • Opening total: Over/Under 46.5 points scored

UPDATE 6 P.M. ET SUNDAY: With kickoff approaching, the Bills are -2.5 (-115) in BetMGM's Divisional Round odds market. It's two-way ticket count with a lean toward Buffalo, at 55%, and money is little more on the Bills at 62%.

On the moneyline, 65% of tickets are on underdog Kansas City, but 56% of money is on Buffalo.

"It's looking like we'll need the Chiefs, but it's not that lopsided," BetMGM's Christian Cipollini said.

BetMGM's total opened at 46 and is now 45.5. The Over is netting 60% of tickets/63% of money.

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET THURSDAY: Buffalo opened -2.5 at TwinSpires and is now -3 (+102). The Bills are drawing 63% of spread bets/60% of spread money.

"Not only are the Bills a liability in this game, but they're also our biggest Super Bowl liability," Lucas said. "The Chiefs happen to be the best outcome for us in the Super Bowl futures market. So we're going to be big Chiefs fans on Sunday."

The total is down a tick from 46 to 45.5. Opinion is divided, with 55% of tickets on the Over/60% of cash on the Under.

"Sharp play on Under 46," Lucas said.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET MONDAY: Kansas City (12-6 SU/10-7-1 ATS) had a shaky 1-3 SU/0-4 ATS stretch late in the season. But the Chiefs head to the Divisional Round on a 3-0 SU and ATS upswing.

On Wild Card Weekend, Kansas City coasted past Miami 26-7 laying 4.5 points in the freezing cold at home.

Speaking of freezing cold at home, Buffalo hosted Pittsburgh on Monday. The game was supposed to be played Sunday, but the extreme weather conditions – heavy snow and high winds – led to a one-day delay.

The Bills (12-6 SU/8-9-1 ATS) closed as 10-point home favorites and notched a 31-17 victory.

The SuperBook opened Chiefs-Bills at Buffalo -2.5 (-120), and the line is stable tonight in the NFL Divisional Round odds market. There was a nudge on the total, as it dipped from 46.5 to 46.

"I think Buffalo's defensive injuries are playing a part, in terms of why this line came so cheap," Michaelson said. "The two teams have pretty similar power ratings at this point, with a slight nod to Buffalo."

Bills linebacker Terrel Bernard suffered an ankle injury in Monday's win vs. Pittsburgh. Several other players on Buffalo's defense are banged up, too.

Tampa Bay Buccaneers vs Detroit Lions Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Lions -6
  • Opening moneyline: Lions -260/Buccaneers +220
  • Opening total: Over/Under 47.5 points scored
  • Time: 3 p.m. ET Sunday (NBC)

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET SUNDAY: An hour before kickoff, the Lions are laying 6 points at BetMGM. On Monday night, Detroit opened -6 (-115), then Tuesday advanced to -6.5. Friday night brought a move back to -6 flat, where the line stuck throughout the weekend.

Spread tickets are running 2.5/1 and spread money 3/1-plus on the Lions. Moneyline play is closer to two-way, with 54% of tickets on underdog Tampa Bay and 64% of money on Detroit.

"We'll need the Bucs badly today. It's already and will continue to be very lopsided Lions bets," BetMGM trader Christian Cipollini, noting a Lions win/Bucs cover would be sufficient.

The total opened at 48.5 and stuck there most of the week before going to 49 (Over -120) Friday. It's now at 49.5, with 63% of tickets/80% of money on the Over.

The player prop taking the most tickets is Lions running back David Montgomery Anytime Touchdown (-120). In the First TD Scorer market, Lions tight end Sam LaPorta (+800) is getting the most tickets.

Interestingly, in the Anytime TD market, Lions defense/special teams is taking the fourth-most tickets.

UPDATE 3 P.M. ET THURSDAY: The Lions hit TwinSpires' NFL odds Divisional Round playoffs market as 5.5-point home favorites. Detroit has since advanced to -6 and -6.5, while attracting 55% of early bets/67% of early cash.

"It's a mix of public and sharp play on the Lions. Finally, a 'dog we'll need," Lucas said of the Bucs.

The total opened at 48.5 and just went to 49 at TwinSpires. The Over is seeing 57% of bets/63% of cash.

UPDATE 11:15 P.M. ET MONDAY: After 32 long years, Detroit (13-5 SU and ATS) ended its playoff win drought – barely. The Lions fended off the Los Angeles Rams 24-23 on Sunday night.

Jared Goff and Co. failed to cover as 3-point home favorites, ending a 4-0 ATS streak.

Somewhat stunningly, Detroit will next host Tampa Bay (10-8 SU/11-7 ATS). The Bucs, a team that needed every game to win the extremely mediocre NFC South, knocked out the defending NFC champs Monday night.

Tampa stymied Philadelphia all game long, rolling to a 32-9 victory as a 3-point home underdog. The Bucs are on upswings of 6-1 SU and 5-1 ATS.

The SuperBook opened Bucs-Lions at Detroit -6 on the NFL Divisional Playoff odds board.

"Tampa impressed everybody with the win over Philly, and the Lions held on against the Rams," Michaelson said. "A much more decisive victory for Tampa equals the line shaded in their direction."

The total opened at 47.5 and immediately moved to 48.

Green Bay Packers vs San Francisco 49ers Odds

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: 49ers -9.5
  • Opening moneyline: 49ers -500/Packers +400
  • Opening total: Over/Under 48.5 points scored
  • Time: 8:15 p.m. ET Saturday (FOX)

UPDATE 7 P.M. ET SATURDAY: With kickoff 75 minutes out, the 49ers are laying 10 points in BetMGM's Divisional Round odds market. San Francisco opened -9.5 late Sunday night and went to -10 shortly thereafter.

On Monday, the line dipped to San Fran -9.5 (-120), and the number bottomed out at -9 briefly on Tuesday. It spent the past few days at Niners -9.5 at various juice (flat/-115/-120), then went to -10 this afternoon.

It's two-way spread play, with 53% of bets on the Packers/59% of money on the Niners. However, it's heavy Green Bay action on the moneyline, at 83% of bets/73% of money. The Packers are currently +375.

"We're hoping for a 49ers win and a Packers cover here," BetMGM's Christian Cipollini said.

BetMGM's total opened at 49.5, then spent pretty much all week at 50.5. The Over is taking 69% of bets/70% of dollars.

The player prop taking the most tickets is Packers running back Aaron Jones Anytime Touchdown, currently even money. Christian McCaffrey First TD Scorer is taking the second-most tickets among all player props. The Niners running back is +275 in the First TD market.

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET THURSDAY: San Fran went from -9.5 to -10 and back to -9.5 at TwinSpires Sportsbook. Green Bay is landing 60% of early spread tickets/58% of early spread money.

"Another trendy 'dog this weekend. The Packers are attracting a majority of the support so far," Lucas said, while noting the book is rooting against a Saturday night outright upset, too. "Packers moneyline would be a big blow, as we're seeing 3/1 tickets and 9/1 money on Green Bay to win outright."

The total opened and remains 50.5 at TwinSpires, with 61% of tickets/58% of dollars on the Over.

UPDATE 9:30 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Green Bay (10-8 SU and ATS) pulled a super shocker on Super Wild Card Weekend. The Packers closed as 7-point road underdogs at Dallas, but built a 27-0 first-half lead and rolled to a 48-32 victory.

That 16-point final margin was definitely deceptive. No. 7 seed Green Bay led 48-16 with 10 minutes remaining. No. 2 seed Dallas got a couple window-dressing TDs in the final six minutes.

The Packers are on a 7-2 SU/6-3 ATS stretch, including 4-0 SU/3-1 ATS in their last four outings.

Meanwhile, No. 1 seed San Francisco (12-5 SU/9-8 ATS) rested up with a bye week. The 49ers lost their regular-season finale against the L.A. Rams 21-20 as 4.5-point home favorites. But the Niners rested many starters, having already clinched the No. 1 seed.

Prior to that setback, San Fran rode a 7-1 SU spree to the top seed. So The SuperBook wasted no time tonight in opening at San Francisco -9.5.

"Obviously, the Packers looked awesome today. But San Francisco's power rating is in a different class, and we're expecting the public to still be on the Niners," SuperBook risk supervisor Chase Michaelson said. "We'd like to keep the spread above the teaser line (-8.5) if possible."

While the spread is stable tonight, the total is already on the move. The SuperBook jumped from 48.5 to 49.5/50.5 in its NFL odds Divisional Round playoffs market.

"San Francisco's defense is so good that we shaded the total Under a little bit," Michaelson said. "But we took some Over money, so we're up to 50.5."

Houston Texans vs Baltimore Ravens

Matchup Spread Total Moneyline
  • Opening point spread: Ravens -9.5
  • Opening moneyline: Ravens -450/Texans +375
  • Opening total: Over/Under 46 points scored
  • Time: 4:30 p.m. ET Saturday (ABC/ESPN)

UPDATE 3:30 P.M. ET SATURDAY: Sixty minutes before kickoff, the Ravens have adjusted slightly on BetMGM's NFL Divisional Round odds board. Baltimore had been at -9.5 flat since Thursday, but just moved to -9.5 (-115).

The Ravens opened -8.5 last Monday night and quickly went to -9.5. The Ravens spent the middle of the week at -8.5, before returning to -9.5 Thursday.

It's two-way spread play, with 58% of tickets on Houston/57% of money on Baltimore. Moneyline action has shifted quite a bit over the past few hours. This morning, 78% of tickets/72% of dollars were on the Texans. Now, it's still 77% of tickets, but just 57% of dollars.

"Ideal outcomes [today] are just for the 'dogs to cover. But we won't complain if they win outright. It would break up any moneyline parlays," BetMGM trader Christian Cipollini said. "

The total opened at 45 and peaked at 45.5 Monday night and again Tuesday morning. But the number then made its way down to 43.5 by Wednesday evening. Earlier this afternoon, it nudged up to 44. Tickets are running 3/1 and money 2/1 on the Over.

In player props, Ravens running back Gus Edwards is a popular play. He's got the most tickets in Anytime Touchdown (-105) and First TD Scorer (+500) markets. In fact, his ticket count in Anytime TD is the most of any player in any player prop market.

UPDATE 2 P.M. ET THURSDAY: TwinSpires Sportsbook opened the Ravens -8.5 in the NFL odds Divisional Round market. Baltimore has since advanced to -9 and -9.5, but early point-spread action isn't aligned with that move.

Houston is netting 77% of tickets/70% of money.

"The public is lining up to bet the Texans +9.5 like it's free money," TwinSpires director of retail sports Zachary Lucas said. "We saw some sharp play on Ravens -8.5, but we're drowning in Texans liability. The Ravens will be our biggest need this weekend."

TwinSpires opened the total at 46 and is down to 43.5, with stops along the way. It's two-way play with a lean toward the Under, at 58% of tickets/52% of money.

UPDATE 9 P.M. ET MONDAY: Houston (11-7 SU/10-8 ATS) took Joe Flacco and Cleveland to the woodshed on Super Wild Card Weekend. The Texans got two pick-sixes en route to a 45-14 rout, shutting out the Browns in the second half.

Houston cashed big time as a 2.5-point home underdog. Rookie QB C.J. Stroud and his Texans are on a 4-1 SU and ATS run, winning and cashing their last three.

On Saturday, Houston will face No. 1 seed Baltimore (13-4 SU/11-6 ATS). The Ravens are rested up after a bye that was secured via a 6-0 SU run late in the season (5-1 ATS). That included an impressive 33-19 Week 16 win as 6.5-point underdogs at San Francisco.

Baltimore opened nearly a double-digit favorite vs. Houston on The SuperBook's NFL Divisional Round odds board.

"It's a pretty similar situation to Green Bay-San Francisco," SuperBook risk supervisor Chase Michaelson said tonight. "Baltimore's power rating is really high, and it's a tougher test for Stroud and Houston."
