Tennessee Titans vs Indianapolis Colts Odds

• Opening point spread: Colts -1
• Opening moneyline: Colts -125/Titans +105
• Opening total: Over/Under 41.5 points scored
• Time: 1 p.m. ET Sunday (CBS)

UPDATE 10:45 A.M. ET SUNDAY: As was the case Friday at BetMGM (see below), Tennessee is a 2.5-point favorite. But the splits have adjusted, with Indy now getting 57% of tickets, while money is running dead even.

The Colts got star running back Jonathan Taylor signed to a new deal Saturday. It appears Taylor will play today, but that hasn't impacted the spread.

The total is up a half-point since Thursday, to 43.5. Ticket count is 2.5/1 and money almost 6/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 5 P.M. ET FRIDAY: This line jumped the fence a couple times already at BetMGM. Indy opened -1 and initially nudged up to -1.5 Monday. On Tuesday, the number went to Tennessee -1 briefly, then flipped to Colts -1.

On Wednesday, the line flipped again to Titans -1.5, and it advanced to Titans -2.5 Thursday. Spread ticket count is almost dead even, but spread money is running 2/1 on Tennessee.

The total opened at 41.5, went to 42.5 and 43 Monday morning, then backed up to 42.5 Monday evening. The number returned to 43 Thursday morning, with early tickets 4/1 and early cash 8/1 on the Over.

UPDATE 11 P.M. ET SUNDAY: Tennessee (2-2 SU/3-1 ATS) flipped the script in Week 4, after a 27-3 Week 3 loss at Cleveland. The Titans dumped Cincinnati by the exact same score, 27-3, cashing as 2.5-point home pups.

Indianapolis (2-2 SU and ATS) stretched the L.A. Rams to overtime with two fourth-quarter TDs. Following the second TD, the Colts' 2-point try was successful to tie the game at 23. But Indy lost 29-23 in the extra stanza.

Titans vs Colts Pick, Prediction

Action Network NFL betting expert Brandon Anderson offers this prediction:

The Colts owned this division rivalry for over a decade, winning 19 of 23, but the Titans have turned things around and won five in a row since that stretch.

Are the Colts just better? Indianapolis ranks around league average running and passing, both offense and defense, and that's despite missing Anthony Richardson for more than a game and despite breaking in a rookie QB and coach. This Shane Steichen marriage with Richardson is already paying dividends, and now Jonathan Taylor should add to the fun.

The Titans are getting steamed up after a big win over the Bengals, but teams that cover by 26+ as underdogs are just 39% ATS the following week. This line is simply giving Tennessee too much credit.

I honestly think the Colts ought to be favored here, and I would've had it approaching the key number, but I don't have much confidence in either of these sides and think this could end up pretty close and unpredictable. I prefer Richardson's upside and unpredictability and never mind grabbing the points for the home side in a tight division rivalry.
