MIDWEEK UPDATE: Baltimore has been pinned to -7.5 in Borgata Sports' NFL Week 9 odds, save for a short stint at -7. And this time, it's pretty apparent Lamar Jackson will be under center for the Ravens.

"There was much hand-wringing about what the Ravens did last week, concerning their injury reporting around Jackson," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "[That] caused a lot of line movement when he was ruled out.

"But it ended up not having much effect on the game itself, as the Ravens were very much in control the entire time against the Bears. This week, Lamar is back, and the line hasn’t moved much at all."

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Baltimore (2-5 SU and ATS) hopes Week 8 began its its long climb back up. Once again without Lamar Jackson (hamstring), the Ravens ended a four-game SU and ATS slide by beating Chicago 30-16 as 2.5-point home favorites.

Miami (2-6 SU/4-4 ATS) sprung a big Week 8 upset that did substantial damage in Circa Survivor, as well. The Dolphins were 7-point pups at Atlanta and hammered the Falcons 34-10, halting a 1-5 SU slide.

The SuperBook opened Dolphins-Ravens at Baltimore -7.5 in the NFL odds Week 9 market, again very much on the assumption that Lamar Jackson is playing.

"This may end up being one of our bigger Thursday night games of the season, in terms of one-way action," SuperBook vice president John Murray said Sunday night. "Baltimore will be starting a lot of moneyline parlays and teasers that will go to the weekend.

"Especially if Lamar is back. We expect him back. But we also expected him to play against the Bears on Sunday."

MIDWEEK UPDATE: Borgata Sports has toggled between Colts -2.5/-3 this week, with line at -3 as of 6:30 p.m. ET Thursday.

"The Colts continue to look like one of the top teams in the NFL, while the Steelers are still holding onto a lead in their division," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "The Colts have already been included in a lot of parlays, and Colts moneyline has been especially popular."

Borgata's total is more on the move, climbing from 48.5 to 50.5.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Indianapolis (7-1 SU/6-2 ATS) still has the best record in the NFL, as the season heads to the halfway mark. In Week 8, the Colts did as expected, thumping Tennessee 38-14 to easily cash as 14.5-point home favorites.

Pittsburgh (4-2 SU/3-3 ATS) is on the field right now. The Steelers are hosting Green Bay in the Sunday night game.

Still, The SuperBook went ahead and opened Colts-Steelers at Indianapolis -2.5 (-120). There was no early movement, and once Packers-Steelers kicked off, Colts-Steelers was taken off the board. Colts-Steelers will go back up Monday morning.

"This is probably the best game of the early window in Week 9," SuperBook VP John Murray said. "We took money on the Colts at -1.5 and -2.5 on the lookahead number [last week], and more money Sunday night at -2.5 (-110) moved us to -2.5 (-120).

"The wiseguys love Indy, and the Colts keep delivering for them."

MIDWEEK UPDATE: The Lions are painted to -8.5 in DraftKings Sportsbook's NFL odds Week 8 market. Detroit opened -8.5 Sunday and remains there as of 2 p.m. ET Thursday.

And it's all Lions early on the spread, at 89% of bets/94% of money.

DraftKings' total is also stable at 48.5, with 73% of bets/79% of dollars on the Over so far.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Detroit (5-2 SU and ATS) is rested and ready for Minnesota after a Week 8 bye, which followed a 5-1 SU and ATS surge. In Week 7, the Lions beat Tampa Bay 24-9 laying 6 points at home.

Minnesota (3-4 SU and ATS) is on a 1-3 SU and ATS skid over its last four games. In the Week 8 Thursday nighter, the Vikings got drilled by the L.A. Chargers 37-10 as 3.5-point road underdogs.

Further, QB Carson Wentz suffered a shoulder injury in his role subbing for J.J. McCarthy (ankle). But it appears McCarthy is set to return for Week 9.

"We opened the Lions -9.5 and have not seen any takers so far," SuperBook vice president John Murray said Sunday night. "Minnesota looked awful on Thursday against the Chargers, and now they visit the Lions, who are fresh off their bye week.

"McCarthy is back in at QB for Minnesota. It could be a long day for him and his team."

MIDWEEK UPDATE: As of 2 p.m. ET Thursday, the Bears are -2.5 (-115) at DraftKings, having just moved there from -3 (-105). Chicago opened -1.5 Sunday night and climbed to -3 by Wednesday morning.

Spread ticket count is dead even, while 74% of early spread money is on the Bears.

DK's total is at 51.5, up from the 50.5 opener but down from a 52.5 high point. The Over is seeing 54% of bets and more robust 89% of money.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Cincinnati (3-5 SU and ATS), behind revived backup QB Joe Flacco, appeared well on its way to improving to .500 in Week 8. But the Bengals blew a 38-24 fourth-quarter lead and fell 39-38 to the previously winless New York Jets.

Cincy was a 5.5-point home favorite.

Chicago (4-3 SU and ATS) got out to an early 6-0 lead at Baltimore. But the Bears allowed 30 of the final 40 points and fell 30-16 as 2.5-point underdogs.

Bears-Bengals opened at Chicago -1.5 in The SuperBook's NFL Week 9 odds. There's been no movement Sunday night.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: It's another matchup with a toggling line at Borgata Sports, where San Fran opened as 3-point road chalk Sunday. Since then, the number has bounced between Niners -3/-2.5, and the spread is -2.5 (-120) as of 6:45 p.m. ET Thursday.

"Both teams are coming off disappointing losses last weekend, and the Giants' loss was amplified by more injury issues," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said.

New York running back Cam Skattebo (dislocated ankle) has no timetable for his return, and the Giants' depth chart is littered with injuries/IR designations on both sides of the ball.

San Francisco can certainly relate to injuries, with QB Brock Purdy making just two starts so far this season. Backup Mac Jones has kept the Niners afloat, but he's now day-to-day with a bruised knee. And the Niners have a host of other injury issues.

The total has been more active than the spread in Borgata's NFL odds Week 9 market, opening at 47, peaking at 49 and now sitting at 48.5. That's perhaps a sign of expecting Purdy to return in Week 9.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: New York (2-6 SU/4-4 ATS) was served up some revenge in Week 8 at Philadelphia. Two weeks after upending the Eagles, the Giants tumbled 38-20 catching 7 points.

The G-Men also lost breakout rookie running back Cam Skattebo to a dislocated ankle. Skattebo was expected to have surgery Sunday night, and there's no recovery timeline yet.

San Francisco (5-3 SU and ATS) got off to a 3-0 start, but has since alternated wins and losses. Week 8 went into the Loss column as the Niners fell to Houston 26-15 getting 3 points on the road.

San Fran opened as 3-point road chalk in The SuperBook's NFL odds Week 9 market, with no movement Sunday night. The total, however, was on the move early, going from 45.5 to 46, then to 47.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: After opening -4.5, the Pats got as high as -6 Wednesday in DraftKings' NFL Week 10 odds. A few minutes after that high, New England went to -5.5, where the line remains at 2 p.m. ET Thursday.

Early spread bettors are all over the Patriots, with tickets 5/1 and money 8/1.

DraftKings' total is at 44.5 (Over -120), arriving there Monday after opening 46.5 and spending about 24 hours at 45.5. Still, early action is solidly on the Over, with tickets 3/1 and money 2.5/1.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: New England's season win total was 7.5, but the Patriots are already 6-2 SU and ATS. In Week 8, Drake Maye & Co. dispatched Cleveland 32-13 giving 7 points at home.

Atlanta (3-4 SU and ATS) was arguably the biggest disappointment of Week 8. Even without Michael Penix (knee), the Falcons were 7-point home favorites vs. Miami. But behind Kirk Cousins, Atlanta got thumped 34-10.

The SuperBook opened New England -4.5 in Week 9 NFL odds. Within two hours Sunday night, the line moved to Patriots -5.

Green Bay is seeing a relatively modest 63% of early bets, but 83% of early money on the spread.

DK's total is at 44.5, up from the 43.5 opener but down from the Monday night/Tuesday morning high point of 45.5 (Under -115). The Over is getting 64% of bets, while 80% of cash is on the Under so far.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Green Bay (4-1-1 SU/2-4 ATS) is currently in the midst of its Week 8 assignment. The Packers are at Pittsburgh in Sunday Night Football.

Carolina (4-4 SU/5-3 ATS) saw its modest three-game SU and ATS streak halted in Week 8. The Panthers were touchdown home 'dogs to Buffalo and tumbled 40-9.

Early spread play is all Chargers, with ticket count 8/1 and money 6/1.

The total has been at 43.5 since Monday afternoon, up from a 42.5 opener. Ticket count is 3/1 and money 8/1 on the Over so far.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Los Angeles (5-3 SU/4-4 ATS) halted a two-game skid with a blowout Week 8 victory. The Chargers thumped Minnesota 37-10 giving 3.5 points at home in the Thursday night game.

Tennessee (1-7 SU/2-6 ATS) continued its growing pains behind rookie QB Cam Ward. The Titans tumbled 38-14 as 14.5-point pups at Indianapolis and are on an 0-3 SU and ATS skid.

MIDWEEK UPDATE: This line jumped the fence early in the week in Borgata Sports' Week 9 NFL odds. Denver opened -1.5 and flipped to Houston -1.5, where the line remains at 7 p.m. ET Wednesday.

"The early money has certainly been on the Texans. And they were a popular betting choice among respected bettors last Sunday against the Niners, as well," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. I would not be surprised to see this game close at pick 'em."

The total is down to 39.5 from a 40.5 opener.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Denver (6-2 SU/3-5 ATS) looked much more like a 6-2 team in Week 8. The Broncos put up their most points of the season while rolling over Dallas 44-24 as 3.5-point home faves. Bo Nix & Co. are on a five-game SU win streak.

Houston (3-4 SU and ATS) is 3-1 SU and ATS in its last four outings. In Week 8, the Texans took care of San Francisco 26-15 laying 3 points at home.

Broncos-Texans opened at Denver -1 in The SuperBook's Week 9 NFL odds, with no moves Sunday night. But the total saw a couple of adjustments, from 39.5 to 39, then up to 40.

Los Angeles is banking the bulk of early spread tickets and dollars, at 80% and 85%, respectively.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Los Angeles (5-2 SU and ATS) had a Week 8 bye, following a blowout Week 7 victory. The Rams trashed Jacksonville 35-7 as 3-point home favorites.

New Orleans (1-7 SU/2-6 ATS) got a field goal at the end of the first half to pull within 7-3 vs. Tampa Bay. But that would be it for the Saints in a 23-3 loss getting 3.5 points at home.

"Whenever these two teams meet up, you know it’s going to result in big handle," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said Wednesday. "So it's no surprise that this game has more written on it than any other game on the board. Most of the early money has come in on Kansas City.

"I now have the Chiefs as my highest power-rated team in the league."

The total is more so on the move, going from 50.5 to 52.5.

EARLY WEEK UPDATE: Kansas City (5-3 SU and ATS) is on a 5-1 SU and ATS upswing, after its 0-2 SU and ATS start. In the Week 8 Monday nighter, the Chiefs were in a 7-7 halftime draw with Washington, then ran away for a 28-7 victory as 10.5-point home favorites.

The SuperBook opened Chiefs-Bills at K.C. -1 Sunday night and went to -1.5 Monday. In the wake of Kansas City's Monday night performance, the spread went from Chiefs -1.5 to -2.5 Tuesday morning, then settled at -2. The total is up to 52.5 from a 51.5 opener.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Kansas City (4-3 SU and ATS) isn't yet out of Week 8. The Chiefs are 11.5-point Monday night favorites vs. Washington, which is without Jayden Daniels (hamstring).

Buffalo (5-2 SU/3-4 ATS) seemed back to normal in Week 8, following its Week 7 bye, which came after two consecutive losses. The Bills closed as 7-point road favorites vs. Carolina and rolled to a 40-9 victory.

The SuperBook actually opened K.C. as a 1-point favorite at Buffalo in Week 9 NFL odds.

"We took a little money on the Chiefs pick on the lookahead number, but saw money come back on the Bills when we got it up to Buffalo +1.5," SuperBook VP John Murray said. "For now, we are at Kansas City -1 in what should be the best betting game of the weekend.

"Buffalo historically does well in this matchup – in the regular season."

"Seattle has taken the early money here," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "Jayden Daniels is expected to practice this week for the Commanders after missing Monday night’s game against the Chiefs with a hamstring injury.  But his game status is still to be determined.

"This number will move once we get more clarity around Daniels’ status."

The total is up to 47 from a 46 opener.

EARLY WEEK UPDATE: The Commanders (3-5 SU and ATS) already have as many losses this season as all of last season. Minus Jayden Daniels (hamstring) on Monday night, Washington closed as a 10.5-point underdog and got drilled 28-7.

On Sunday, The SuperBook opened Seahawks-Commanders at Seattle -3, and the line moved to -3.5 (even) Monday afternoon. That's where the line remains at 1 p.m. ET Tuesday. The total opened and remains 46.

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Seattle (5-2 SU and ATS) is coming off its bye and riding a 5-1 SU and ATS run. In a Week 7 Monday night game, the Seahawks topped Houston 27-19 as 3-point home favorites.

Washington (3-4 SU and ATS) still has Week 8 work to do. The Commanders, minus Jayden Daniels due to a hamstring injury, travel to Kansas City for the Monday night game.

The Seahawks opened -3 vs. the Commanders at The SuperBook.

"We saw money come in on Seattle at -1.5 on the lookahead line [last week]. And we took a little more tonight on Seattle -3, but not enough to move us any higher," SuperBook VP John Murray said Sunday night. "I’d expect the public to back Seattle heavily in this spot.

"The Cowboys were not competitive last week against the Broncos. We'll see if their Jekyll-and-Hyde act continues on Monday Night Football against the Cardinals," Borgata sportsbook director Tom Gable said. "This has been a pretty evenly bet game so far.

"As for the total, almost all money has come in on the Over, with bettors taking Over 52.5 and Over 53.5. It now sits at 54."

OPENING ODDS UPDATE: Dallas (3-4-1 SU/4-4 ATS) fell back below .500 once again in Week 8. The Cowboys couldn't keep pace with Denver in a 44-24 loss catching 3.5 points on the road.

Arizona (2-5 SU and ATS) hopes a Week 8 bye will help it right the ship. In Week 7, the Cards led much of the game vs. Green Bay, but lost 27-23 on a touchdown with 1:50 remaining. It was Arizona's fifth consecutive loss (2-3 ATS), by a total of 13 points, after a 2-0 SU and ATS start.

"There was money on Arizona at +4 and +3.5 on the lookahead lines, and we settled on Dallas -3 for now," SuperBook vice president John Murray said of Sunday night's opening number. "The Cowboys defense looked terrible again on Sunday in Denver.

"You’d think there would be a lot of points scored in this game. Not much else to say about it."
