What are NFL Office Pool Contests?
NFL Office Pool Contests are prediction-based games centered around the National Football League regular season and possibly the NFL Playoffs. Participants, not necessarily working with in an office or organization, make predictions on the outcome of NFL games. The participant with the most accurate predictions at the end of a designated period (week, season) wins the pool.

Types of NFL Office Pool Contests
Pick 'Em Pool
The most common Office Pool is also the simplest format, the Pick 'Em Pool and it focuses on straight up (SU) predictions. On a weekly basis, participants predict the winner of each scheduled game and one point is given for each correct prediction and the highest score at the end of the week or season is declared the winner.
The NFL regular season has 288 games scheduled over an 18-week season. The majority of the weeks will have 16 games while there will be quite a few with 12 to 15 due to scheduled bye weeks throughout the season.
Against the Spread Pool
Similar to the Pick 'Em Pool above, individuals will pick a winner of all games scheduled on a weekly basis and points will be awarded per win.
The difference for the Against the Spread Pool is that participants will choose their teams based on the point-spread. Users will choose the favorite or underdog for every scheduled matchup and the winner will be determined on who has the best ATS record at the end of the season.
