Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles Predictions, Odds, Picks
This week’s NFL slate is packed with rivalries and homecoming reunions, with one of those returns coming in the form of Chiefs’ head coach, Andy Reid, visiting his old team – as the Kansas City Chiefs will visit the Philadelphia Eagles at one o’clock this Sunday afternoon.
Score Prediction: Chiefs 31, Eagles 17
Best Bet: Chiefs -7
Best Bet: Clyde Edwards-Helaire (KNC/RB) Anytime TD
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles Predictions
After stomping Atlanta in Week 1 (W, 32-6), the Eagles appeared to be flying high under new head coachNick Sirianni and quarterback Jalen Hurts – as Philadelphia racked up 434 total yards and surrendered just two field goals in their opening matchup against the Falcons.
Philadelphia’s success was very short-lived though, considering Hurts and company generated just 11 points during their disheartening trip to San Francisco the following week (L, 17-11) – and then got pounded by Dallas on Monday Night Football in their latest matchup (L, 41-21).
On the other hand, Kansas City has also stumbled out to a somewhat underwhelming start, as the Chiefs were forced to journey down a three-game gauntlet against Cleveland, Baltimore, and L. A. to open the new year – and ended up losing a pair of close ones in the process.
I’ll lay the points with Kansas City here, as the Eagles’ defense gave up 41 points during their ugly loss to Dallas this past Monday – which leads me to believe Patrick Mahomes and company are due to find similar success this Sunday afternoon.
Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles Betting Odds
The Chiefs head into Sunday’s matchup as a touchdown-favorite over the visiting Eagles – marking the heftiest underdog-tag given to Philadelphia this year.
The total for Sunday’s tilt sits around OU 54.5 at most shops, which is on par with the typical numbers set for Chiefs’ matchups – but will rank as the highest number set for an Eagles’ game so far this season.

The Chiefs enter Sunday’s contest following back-to-back losses – which marks the first time Kansas City has dropped consecutive matchups since October 2019 (IND, HOU).
Despite their underwhelming 1-2 record to start though, my overall faith in Kansas City hasn’t wavered much, as I still believe the Chiefs are the team to beat in the AFC – and just happened to fall victim to a ruthless opening schedule (CLE, BAL, LAC).
That said, Kansas City demonstrated some early flaws that could potentially be troublesome for them in the playoffs – but fortunately, the Chiefs should finally get a chance to fine-tune those lingering issues against a banged-up Philadelphia squad this upcoming Sunday.

After a pair of polar-opposite performances to open the year, nobody knew what to expect from Philadelphia ahead of the Eagles’ Week 3 MNF matchup in Dallas – considering the Cowboys entered as narrow home favorites over the Birds (DAL -3).
The majority likely expects mediocrity from them by now though, as aside from the Eagles’ glaring concerns on offense, their front-seven has completely fallen apart since the injury to Pro-Bowl DE Brandon Graham – highlighted by Ezekiel Elliot and Tony Pollard combining for 181 yards on 32 total touches during Philadelphia’s ugly loss to Dallas this past Monday.
It’s typically never too late to turn things around and make a run in the NFC East, but the Eagles still appear to lack the offensive firepower required to adequately contend for a playoff spot – and I need to see a little more fight from their defense before I consider backing them as a one-score underdog against a juggernaut like Kansas City.
The Philadelphia Eagles have gone UNDER the point total in five of their last six home games. (AP)

Kansas City Chiefs vs. Philadelphia Eagles Betting Conclusion
After posting consecutive one-score losses against the Ravens and Chargers, the Chiefs travel to Philadelphia in Week 4 as a touchdown-favorite over the Eagles at Lincoln Financial Field – marking the widest spread for a matchup containing either of these teams this season. I’ll lay the points with Kansas City here though, as the Eagles’ defense was atrocious in Dallas last week – especially their D-Line, which is why I’m also backing Chiefs’ running-back Clyde Edwards-Helaire to punch in a touchdown against Philly this Sunday afternoon.
