Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks Predictions
The Cardinals head to the Pacific Northwest with a one-game lead over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC West, and the Seahawks are in the basement, four and a half games off the pace. They're also one game behind the San Francisco 49ers for last place in the division, and the Seahawks are also one game out of the possible playoff spot. For as poorly as things have gone this season in Seattle, all is not lost, and if they can turn things around quickly, the season can still be saved. But they must start winning now.
This is the first meeting of the season between these teams. Arizona is a perfect 3-0 SU/ATS inside the NFC West Division so far this season. In the past two games they have played without QB Kyler Murray (ankle) and WR DeAndre Hopkins (hamstring) have each missed the past two games. While Nuk has been ruled out for a third consecutive game, Murray is questionable for Sunday. If he cannot go, it gets a little tricky. QB Colt McCoy has started the past two games, but he was knocked out of last week's game with a pectoral injury. He practiced in full Friday, but is officially listed as questionable. Former CFL standout QB Chris Streveler, who you might remember with the Winnipeg Blue Bombers, finished up last week's blowout loss to the Carolina Panthers, and he would get the nod for his first NFL start if Murray/McCoy aren't ready.
On the Seahawks side of the ledger, they are much more healthy than the Cardinals, at least. The only real notable injury is that of SS Jamal Adams (groin), who missed practice Friday and is listed as questionable.

The Cardinals were worked over by the visiting Carolina Panthers in Week 10, falling 34-10 at home with McCoy starting in place of Murray. The starting QB could be any one of three players, so it makes handicapping this game a bit murky. What is clear is that Hopkins will not be available, regardless of who starts.
When Arizona was fully healthy, heading into Thursday's Week 8 game against the Green Bay Packers, the Cardinals were boasting a 7-0 SU/6-1 ATS mark, and all was well. In the past three games the offense is averaging just 20.7 PPG, while the defense is coughing up 25.0 PPG. That's 8.1 PPG less on offense, and 6.1 PPG more on defense, than the team's season averages.
Arizona is still 6-2 ATS across the past eight games overall, and 18-7-3 ATS in the past 28 road games, including the last road outing in Week 9 in San Francisco with McCoy at the helm.
For totals, the UNDER is 10-3 in the past 13 road outings, while going a perfect 7-0 in the past seven as a road favorite. The UNDER is 4-1 in Arizona's past five as a favorite, too, while going 9-4 in the past 13 against teams with a losing record.
Seattle Seahawks Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 3-6
- ATS: 5-4
- O/U: 1-8
- ATS - Home: 2-2
- ATS - Away: 3-2
The Seahawks are skidding hard, and they were blanked in QB Russell Wilson's return to the lineup last Sunday in Green Bay. It was the first time the Seahawks have been shut out with Wilson under center, and the first time they have been blanked since Sept. 11 against the Pittsburgh Steelers.
The good news for the Seahawks is that the defense has looked like itself lately, allowing just 17, 3 and 13 across the past three outings. The improved defense lately, coupled with the struggles on offense overall, have led to seven straight UNDER results, and an 8-1 mark overall in the category. That's the most UNDER results in the NFL this season. The UNDER is also 6-0 in the past six as an underdog, and 15-3 in the past 18 games overall, while going 9-1-1 in the past 11 following a straight-up loss. The UNDER is also 8-1 in the past nine following a non-cover.
The Seahawks are 14-6 ATS in the past 20 games as an underdog, but they're just 3-8 ATS in the past 11 games against NFC teams and 1-4 ATS in the past five games in the month of November.
The Seahawks are 14-6 ATS in the past 20 games overall as an underdog. (AP)

Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks Betting Conclusion
The Cardinals were awful last week, even before McCoy was knocked out of the game. Arizona was uncharacteristically sloppy with the ball, it gifted Carolina a 14-0 lead, and was never able to recover. On the flip side, the Seahawks were able to score as many points as you and I did in Green Bay. None. Wilson looked rusty, but the Packers suffocating defense and Lambeau Field crowd had a lot to do with that. The Seahawks should be much better with a little home cooking.
Arizona's health is a huge concern. We could get Murray under center, which is great, we could get McCoy under center which would be OK, or we could get Streveler under center, which would be the worst-case scenario. It's hard to suggest the Cardinals as a play here. However, if it is Murray, the Cardinals should be right back up to speed, and the undefeated contender we came to love in the beginning of the season. Toss in the fact the Cardinals are 6-2-1 ATS in the past nine meetings, they're 5-1 ATS in the past six trips to Seattle and the road team is 9-3-1 ATS in the previous 13 meetings, and the Cards look that much better.
