Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Football Team Predictions
After winning the NFC West with a record of 12-4 last year, Seattle stumbled out to a surprisingly pedestrian start to the new season, as the Seahawks kicked things off with a lackluster 2-2 run – with Seattle’s only victories across that time frame coming against the Colts and Niners.
Since starting 2-2 though, Seattle has been awful offensively, highlighted by the Seahawks entering Monday’s contest following losses in five of the last six games – while averaging just 13.2 PPG on 264.2 YPG across that window.
On the other hand, Washington also posted an underwhelming start to the new season, as the Football Team opened with losses in six of their first eight games – with Washington’s only victories across that stretch coming against ailing Giants and Falcons squads.
Washington has played solid football since its Week 9 bye though, considering Ron Rivera’s squad enters Monday’s contest following back-to-back upset victories over the Panthers and Buccaneers.
I’ll take Seattle to bounce back here, as Washington scored 13 PTS or less in three straight games before winning their latest two matchups against the Bucs and Panthers – while the Seahawks generated 28+ PTS on 380+ YDS in three-of-four matchups prior to Russell Wilson’s finger injury in Week 5.

Seattle Seahawks Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 3-7
- ATS: 5-5
- O/U: 1-8-1
- ATS - Home: 2-3
- ATS - Away: 3-2
After skidding out to a mediocre 2-2 start, the majority didn’t seem overly concerned about Seattle, as the Seahawks entered Week 5 as a 2.5-point underdog against a red-hot Rams squad – resulting in Seattle’s third loss of the year, and an injured starting QB in Russell Wilson.
Since Wilson’s injury though, Seattle has completely fallen off the league’s radar, considering the Seahawks enter Sunday following losses in five of the last six games – with their only victory across that span coming against the Jaguars (W, 31-7).
I’m still hesitant to write off Seattle though, as the Seahawks’ latest five losses have come against quality opponents in the Packers, Cardinals, Saints, Steelers, and Rams – so in my opinion, Seattle deserves one last roll of the dice here.
Washington Football Team Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 4-6
- ATS: 3-7
- O/U: 5-5
- ATS - Home: 1-4
- ATS - Away: 2-3
Washington’s playoff hopes were seemingly lost after stumbling out to a 2-6 start to the year, but with the Cowboys, Panthers, and Saints struggling lately – Washington is right back in the hunt, as the Football Team enters Monday’s contest following back-to-back upset victories, and sit just one game out of the NFC’s final wild-card spot.
On paper, Washington boasts a far better chance of claiming a playoff spot than Seattle, but personally, I still expect the Seahawks to be one of the few teams knocking on the door when the regular season concludes – while Washington doesn’t strike me as one of those teams.

Seattle Seahawks vs. Washington Football Team Betting Conclusion
After claiming consecutive upset victories over Carolina and Tampa Bay, Washington will enter Monday night’s matchup as narrow home favorites against the visiting Seahawks – marking the first time Washington has been favored since Week 6.
I’ll take the point with Seattle here, as despite the Seahawks’ latest struggles, I still expect Pete Carroll’s guys to grind out a tough victory in Washington on Monday night – even if it takes a few stellar defensive sequences.
