Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints Predictions
After winning the NFC South with a record of 12-4 last year, New Orleans stormed out to a strong start to the new season with Jameis Winston under center, as the Saints opened with wins in five of their first seven games – which included impressive upset victories over the Packers, Patriots, and Buccaneers.
Winston suffered a devastating season-ending knee injury on Halloween though, and New Orleans has looked awful since, considering the Saints enter Thursday’s contest riding a four-game losing streak – with two of those defeats coming by a double-digit margin (BUF, PHI), and another coming in a matchup they were favored in (ATL).
On the other hand, Dallas also got off to an excellent start to the year, as the Cowboys kicked things off with wins in six of their first seven games – with Dak Prescott and company’s only loss across that span coming against Tampa Bay in a thrilling season-opener (L, 31-21).
Dallas has looked rather pedestrian since the onset of November though, considering the Cowboys enter Thursday’s contest following losses in three of their last four games – while scoring 20 PTS or less in two of those defeats.
I’ll lay the points with Dallas here, as the Saints have lost four straight games while averaging just 20.3 PPG since the beginning of Trevor Siemian’s tenure at quarterback – which typically isn’t enough against the Cowboys 2nd ranked scoring offense (29.6 PPG).
Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints Betting Odds
The Saints enter Thursday’s contest as a four-point underdog against the visiting Cowboys – marking the fourth straight matchup New Orleans has been an underdog in.
The total for Thursday’s event is stationed just south of OU 48 at most shops, which marks the highest bar set for a Saints’ game since Winston’s injury – and the lowest bar set for a Cowboys’ game all season.

Dallas Cowboys Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 7-4
- ATS: 8-3
- O/U: 6-5
- ATS - Home: 4-2
- ATS - Away: 4-1
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
After jumping out to an excellent 6-1 start to the season, Dallas now finds itself in somewhat dangerous territory within the division, considering the Cowboys have lost three of their last four games – propelling Philadelphia and Washington into striking distance with just a handful of matchups remaining on the schedule.
Personally, I don’t expect Dallas to experience much trouble on the way to claiming this year’s division crown though, as the Cowboys currently lead the league i in total offense and rank second in scoring (29.6 PPG, 419.8 YPG) – and nobody in the NFC East can compete with that on a weekly basis.
New Orleans Saints Betting Analysis
Straight Up - SU, Against the Spread - ATS, Over-Under (O/U)
- SU: 5-6
- ATS: 5-6
- O/U: 6-5
- ATS - Home: 2-3
- ATS - Away: 3-3
After posting a surprisingly solid 5-2 start to the season, New Orleans appeared to be slowly getting comfortable with Winston at the helm, as the Saints closed out October leading the NFC South – while averaging a sturdy 25.1 PPG on the offensive side of the stick.
New Orleans’ offense has been all over the place since Winston’s injury though, considering the Saints enter Thursday’s contest following losses in four straight games – while averaging just 20.3 PPG and turning the ball over six times across that window.
Dallas has lost five straight games when playing on a Thursday. (AP)

Dallas Cowboys vs. New Orleans Saints Betting Conclusion
After posting a fourth consecutive loss on Thanksgiving (L, 31-6), the Saints enter this Thursday’s contest as a four-point underdog against the visiting Cowboys – marking the fourth straight matchup New Orleans has been an underdog in.
I’ll lay the points with Dallas here, as the Saints’ defense has surrendered 30.3 PPG across their current four-game losing streak – which should result in a field day for Kellen Moore’s offense on Thursday night.
